I went there maybe about 2hrs ago after waiting 40 mins on the line. I’m an employee under TJX company. When hired my manager gave me a TEMPORARY ASSOCIATE DISCOUNT CARD which states that’s is valid under ALL of the divisions under TJX. I went into this TJmax earlier today and was told I couldn’t use my pass when I have used my discount pass before at the same location.
But the funny part is when I used my temporary pass the first time maybe about 3 weeks ago here the employee that rung up my items was new and unsure of how to apply it so she asked another employee. The employee she asked communicated to her in English and then looked me up&down and started speaking Spanish. The other employee was under the impression that I wouldn’t understand what she was saying since it was in Spanish so, then I responded to her since I understood what she was telling the other employee. She was telling the other employee that my pass wasnt valid, a whole bunch of nonsense, and to check with the manager. So then the supervisor/manager came over and said it was fine to put it because my pass is valid. And a comment was made to me to that the employees act as if they are FBI agents and that next time to come with the physical card to make sure I avoid a problem since the employees were trying to escalate the situation and I should had marked his words because what happened today another issue smh. (Please note: That I was using my temporary card since I hired towards the end of November and my card didn’t arrive as of yet).
A similar issue happened today and the employee was very respectful but when she went to ask her supervisor if she can use my card and I could tell that she was new. The supervisor Matthew said that I couldn’t use my card and that it’s only valid at the TJmax I worked at which is false hence the temporary discount card that employees receive when they are hired and the disclaimer on the bottom that lists all the stores where I’m able to use it at.
So I told Matthew that I will come back with my physical card that I just got this week but I left it at home but I had my temporary card on me since it’s still valid and expires today. Matthew said it was fine for me to come back with my card to return the items and rebuy it.
It’s really is an inconvenience for me to go back to return my items just to receive the discount when I could had received the discount right then and there. But I will be back next week with the card b/c he could had called his manager over to the register so they could approve it since he said “only a manger can approve the use of it.” I will also be contacting the company as well b/c the real kicker is I was able to use my temporary card in home goods about 10 mins before I went down to TJmax to see if I wanted to...
Read moreThis tjmax in cross county is very unorganized there iteams are on the floor there lines and EXTERMLY LONG!! No matter what time of day or night you go there! The cashier's are very slow in helping the customer when the manager is called over to sign or witness an item that may be over $ 100.00 or more the casher calls them over and they take there time to attend to the return towards the cashier as well as the customer!! When you're in the store should you ask for assistance from a person on the floor there response is it's not there department!! The store needs a major overall inprovment as well as working Managers to help the workers so they can help the customer and move the lines in a faster pace as well as placing more cashier's behind the register to accomplish the line to move along!!! I also want to add they NEED to have more handbags as well as the merchandise being in order! Good supervision is needed and respectful MANAGERS AND STAFF TO HELP THE CUSTOMER'S ESPECIALLY THE LINES THEY ARE THE MOST SLOWEST IN ANY OF THE TJMAX IVE GONE TO!!! THIS TJMAX LOCATION AT THE CROSS COUNTY 750 CENTRAL PARK AVE YONKERS,NY 10704...
Read moreI bought "Free People" jacket, yesterday, in Mt. Kisco's TJ Max. Today I went to TJ Max at 750 Central Park Ave, in Yonkers, to make a return,. For some reason, the sales person had to ask her manager if she can accept the return with the receipt and the tag on the jacket and the answer was "NO". I asked to speak to manager myself and another person appeared: Mark Francis, who said he upholds the decision of his predecessor, that he isn't going to accept the return and I have to go back to Mt. Kisco's TJ Maxt o return the item. I asked why and he replied that the jacket was used. WOW!!!!!!!! Such a terrible experience!!!! I don't think I will ever go to TJ Max at 750 Central Park Ave., again. I felt ignored and...
