This will be a long one because simply there is so much to say about this dojo.

My daughter is a tiny little one. But fierce. My son, he is on the spectrum - mild and mostly has behavior issues like staying put or has impulses.

Before joining the dojo, my son is a such a sweetheart but was getting bullied in school by multiple kids (special ed). And he didn't know how to handle it especially if his class was mixed ages.

This dojo has helped him to improve alot for his regular daily schooling. I received tons of compliments from his teachers on how he is alot more calmer and patient.

One of his favorite stories to tell me was one day he had came home and he was able to defend himself in school when another student (younger in his regular class) had tried to mess with him by attempting to hit him with a shoe! And instead of getting bullied he was able to defend himself by using the blocking methods he learned at the dojo and de-escalate the issue.

As for my daughter. Being a child if two short parents means she will be short also. And having a sibling in special needs sometimes she felt discouraged in classes. But since joining the dojo she loves setting herself with goals and accomplishing them and feeling awesome. She cried tears of joy getting her first strip belt.

The confidence this dojo has built and continues to build in my children is something I will never regret. It has a great staff and they are so patient with all of they're students. And everyday is a different lesson to keep it entertaining. I...

Can’t say enough good things about Achieve Martial Arts. I am here 4 days of week with my kids and let me tell you, it is so worth it. It has become a second home. As soon as we enter the door, a warm welcome is never missed by the amazing instructor Thais. My daughter loves her. All the instructors(without exceptions) are not only great teachers and professionals,but also so kind and helpful with every student.They are so patient and make sure every student gets individualized attention.Instructors here don’t only teach discipline and respect but also happiness,believing in themselves and pushes students to give their best. We enrolled in Achieve Yonkers as just wanting an extra activity for our daughter to do but what turned from an after school activity to something she truly loves and enjoys doing. When we first enrolled she was so hesitant on going into the class but thanks to all the instructors Mst.Thais , Mr.Randy and Mr.Miguel they have helped her grown out of her shell and have made her feel so comfortable. The different time option have been so helpful with my own work balance. I always feel as though she gets the best out of each one of her practices!
