Picture included was the chicken trio tacos with black beans and rice. We did a walk-in order as we had been referred by an online gaming friend who lives in Arkansas ( We are native New Yorkers). As a non-Spanish speaker, I let my son place the order and really didn’t look at the menu until I looked for the site to give a review. We ordered both versions of the taco trios both the chicken and the steak. I didn’t take a picture of the steak tacos but they appeared similar just different meats. I found the food tasty, especially after drizzling both the squeezed fresh lime slice and the green sauce in the little container that came with the meals. You needed to add it on because they chop up the meat so fine that you need it to re-moist the filling of the taco. That’s my only complaint was the slight dryness of the meat which I assume occurred based on the swiftness of getting the completed order from placing the order was due to serving from pre -made food in warming dishes. I did enjoy the blend of seasonings and noticed the heavy use of cilantro throughout the meat filling of the tacos. My son picked them out of his steak tacos. The black beans and rice were also tasty. We took our order to go. They have bottled drinks to choose from which are all made from the Mexican Coke Cola factory in glass bottles and have real sugar not fructose. The restaurant has seating available and appears well maintained in cleanliness. They have a string of Patron Tequila bottles up front as decorations which was whimsical. I do advise that you review the menu to understand the food offerings. There’s no substitution, it is as ordered. They serve corn tortillas and if you are allergic to cilantro they don’t remove it as it’s a vital ingredient in the seasoning. But if you want authentic Mexican street food this...
Read moreWanted to give it a 4.5 but google won’t let me.and the reason why I took .5 off is that they missing a torta on the menu. If they had a torta on the menu this place would be a 10!
They have a small but extremely solid menu. Everything on the menu is perfectly season and cooked to perfection. The tacos are great, specially the Al Pastor tacos they were one of the best ones I had so far from all the Mexican joints I’ve eaten.
The street nachos are super! Well balance.
But let me tell you something if you like hot sauces…I had the best hot sauce here. The person that helped me with the order made a tray with three different sauces that they make in house and these sauces should be bottled and sold at supermarkets and they will do very very well.
They have Mexican Coca-Cola which is a must at a Mexican restaurant, all types of Jarritos.
This place is a gem in Yonkers. A extremely good restaurant that you should try out!
Thank me later
Service is very friendly and courteous....
Read moreI had been aware of this place for a long time but hadn’t tried it; you see, we have great Mexican food in this town and I thought it might be a little ‘gringo.’ Nevertheless, it’s convenient to one of my regular errands, so I gave it a try. I’m glad I did. The food was very nice, the service friendly, and the price good for what you get. I had the ‘takos’ al pastor, which, to my delight, came with a bowl of rice and beans (I would have asked for it as a side in any case). I also got some chips and salsa while I waited, which wasn’t long. In short, nice place, I recommend it. I only took off one star because the tacos had just one tortilla each. If it’s really ‘street food’, they should have two. Maybe you can ask for that, like you can for your burrito at Chipotle. I’ll try it next time I go and then update this review. Or they could reply and I’ll...
