Great food court for Asian food with clean tables and booth seating. The order and pick up system for Hmart is efficient and straightforward. Order all your food from the front cashier and pickup your order from the counters of each restaurant. Your order number is announced and displayed on LCD screens so if you walk away or miss the announcement, you can spot if your order is ready. The downside is if you dine in as we did, your experience will be interrupted with announcements for orders over the PA system. We ordered soft tofu stew with stir fried bulgogi from K Bab and included white rice and a small array of banchan. Upon request for more chili sauce, the chef gave me a side of mildly spicy Serrano pepper condiment. There was a language barrier, but he was very courteous. We also ordered steamed dumplings from Dumplings & More. The minced vegetables of the dumplings gush out and fall apart with one bite. Lean, healthy ingredients for a shrimp and vegetable dumpling. The dumplings definitely need dipping sauce for flavor, in my opinion, but my young daughter prefers them plain without sauce. A filtered hot and cold water dispenser and plastic drinking cups are available to help yourself. We refill our water bottles here for the ride home. The restrooms are on the opposite end of the store. It was clean and well stocked. The pop music playing through the store is the loudest in the restroom. A great way to escape for a few minutes and enjoy the sound quality of the music.

This efficiently managed supermarket provides everything you need, from standard grocery items to a variety of vegan choices and a selection of Asian products. Plus, there's a cozy eatery where you can place an order and enjoy your meal on-site.

I was in the area with the family on errands and we happened to see that this new hmart opened up. We needed some Asian groceries so we decided to check it out on the way home. We had seen the new one in Jericho and wondered how this would compare. Like the one in Jericho, it has a food court inside. A quick word on the supermarket side - of course it was plentiful, clean and beautiful (it was new!). And they had many sampler stations (naturally, on weekends). Price-wise, pretty standard but noticed many sale items presumably due to their grand opening status. Their food court was definitely impressive. They have a few themed shops (Chinese, Korean-Chinese, Korean, Japanese ramen) and a hot food bar (by the pound?). You order in one spot but pick up at the particular stall. You also return used trays to the stall. I noticed too late that they also had soup dumplings. An Asian bakery is on-site, of course. All four of us got something different. Tonkatsu ramen was just eh - the broth was a little off. My daughter said the pho was ok but they didn't provide lime or other usual condiments. My wife got a Korean beef stew which she said was pretty good. I had the jjajang myun (noodles with black bean sauce). By far the best. The noodles were perfect and the sauce was slightly less salty, which I prefer. Wished I lived closer to come here more often.

There are pros and cons about this shop... the pros are the reason I keep shopping her. This location is very close to home and i can find good fruits and vegetables. However, if you're looking for sales and to save, this is not the place to do your grocery shopping at! They rarely have good sales, and you become a member for a "smart savings card" to accumulate points that are supposed to eventually give you some type of savings, but I've been shopping here for at least 4 yrs and I still have not experienced the benefits of this "savings card." No coupons, nothing at all! Furthermore, some of the employees are extremely rude!!! I've seen guys, employees, coming into the fruits and veggies section, rushing with a cart and they do not even say excuse me or give you some type of warning, almost as if willing to run you over with the cart as they do their job. Some of the cashiers are ruthless! There's one that is particularly unpleasant and rude, her name is Akemi (according to my receipt from that day). This young woman rolls her eyes, rushes you, makes mistakes when charging you for your groceries (so beware), and sometimes won't even speak to you (she will make signals instead). Im not sure if these employees are prejudiced towards Latinos and anyone that may seem African American to them, or they're simply rude to everyone! But this has been my experience so far. I will clarify that I'm a highly educated, professional Latina woman that obviously knows how to carry herself and treat people with respect. I've never given these employees, including this cashier in particular, any reason to treat me in any other way but with respect and dignity. Whoever manages this location should perhaps supervise employees' behavior on the job and review ways of making customers feel more welcome, motivated, and appreciated. Employees mistreating customers should face consequences for...

H-mart is a mixed Asian store that primarily sells groceries but has 2 aisles dedicated to other goods and cooking supplies. They have good produce, good meats, good seafood, and tasty snacks. H-mart has a very nice food court that has many types of Asian cuisine, the kitchens seem clean and the prices are fair. They have many more "exotic" meats and seafood that are hard to find elsewhere along with rarer produce. The staff is helpful and friendly. They even have a little game area for little kids. For these things it gets a 5/5.

There is one reason and one reason alone I cannot in good conscience rate the store 5 stars overall... That would be animal welfare, it is known that fish can feel pain and can suffer. Decapod crustaceans (lobsters, crabs, crawfish etc.) also seem to be capable of pain along with remembering its source. If you go there you can see many of the fish have injuries like bites and scratches, they also have ripped lips that are normally caused from pace swimming the glass from stress. The tanks are overcrowded to where crabs and crawfish cannot walk or move, especially the blue crabs which do not even have the water needed for respiration as many are dead in the sterilite bin they are kept in. The fish are packed like living sardines. One can argue if they are going to die anyway then why care? Well in my opinion animals deserve to be treated with respect before they are eaten which is why I am particular when sourcing meat. Also stress can affect meat quality. It's not that the animals are alive there, or even water quality as the tanks seem clean and I assume they use a sump filter system. The problem is the inhumane conditions the animals are relegated to before...

Today was my first time visiting this H Mart, and unfortunately, it was an extremely unpleasant experience.

I entered through the main entrance, holding my emotional support dog in my arms. As I walked toward the hot food section, intending to order takeout, an older woman approached me and asked whether I planned to dine in or take out. She then informed me that pets were not allowed in the store. I nodded in acknowledgment and assured her that I was only ordering takeout.

However, when I returned to the counter to place my order, she repeatedly emphasized the store’s ā€œno petsā€ policy and pointed at the sign, saying I should have seen it when I first walked in. I was honestly baffled by her logic. I had already stated clearly that I would take my food to go—there was no reason for her to reiterate the rule as if I had not understood her the first time.

I had been holding my dog the entire time since entering the store. My dog never touched the ground, never approached the food counters, and never sniffed or interacted with any of the store’s products, instead I went straight to the food counter just for a take out.

My dog is not a ā€œpetā€; he is a trained emotional support dog.

I do not understand why she felt the need to repeatedly approach me to stress the ā€œno petsā€ policy when it was already clear that I was following the rules. The way she acted—as if she was somehow superior to other living beings—was honestly laughable.

I have always believed that the U.S. is a country that values and respects animals, but after today, this experience has completely changed my perception. I will never return...
