DO NOT GET A FACIAL HERE. I had a truly awful experience here yesterday getting a Premium Age Defense facial. I had to stop my aesthetician twice because the products she was burning my skin, I complained to the front desk and they took my complaint seriously, I left with red angry skin, and 24 hours later no one has called me to follow up. The first red flag is that no one here knows what retinol is. I made my appointment the day before and the person I spoke to didn’t say I should stop any of my skincare. I called at 8am the day of my appointment and the front desk didn’t know what retinol was, I put it in my notes during their iPad and I don’t think my aesthetician knew what it was. I didn’t write a product or brand name, I just said “retinol.” I had to ask her twice to stop applying a product on me and to wipe it off. The facial also had what felt like too much physical exfoliating by using a heated towel to wipe my face with every treatment. By the end of my treatment I felt like I was in shock. She applied moisturizer and sunscreen so as I spoke to the receptionist my face was fine but as I left the burning came back. I went home and immediately washed my face. My face is still red and my neck is cracked and swollen. I told the receptionist my experience and she was confused because the type of facial I got was supposed to be hydrating. She suggested that my aesthetician may have mixed the products wrong. She said she would talk to the head aesthetician. i have not heard back from Spavia. I want to edit that they got back to me after I wrote this review, give me a full refund, and earnestly offered anything they could to make this right although I didn’t accept. My face is cracked and peeling now like a bad sunburn.

I live in North Carolina but my sister treated me for my birthday! Although we've been to Clark Commons before, we didn't know about Spavia. We were both pleasantly surprised with it's spa vibe, the changing rooms for both women and men with showers and lockers. There were comfy robes and slides ready for us. Oh, and the prices were reasonable. Seriously, we're already planning our next visit!

Spavia is my enchanted escape. As silly and corny as that might sound, I find the rush of thoughts in my mind calm significantly even before being seen for services. It's immersive with scents, sounds, music, lighting...all culminating into an experience that wraps you up like a warm blanket feeling safe and welcome. Everyone I've ever had the pleasure of working with has been exceptional. Smiles, positivity, and just felt like family taking care of you. As someone who rarely pampers themself, this is such a delight that I find myself looking forward to each month!

Spavia Massage Therapist: Suzi

Suzi is an outstanding massage therapist at Spavia! Her scientific knowledge of the body and how to apply the craft of massage are virtually unmatched. Suzi makes you feel so comfortable you drift to another plane while she works her magic. She's phenomenal at treating areas of pain with targeted stretches along with massage. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a relaxing massage and also deeper tissue muscle repair.

Spavia Facialist: Casey

Casey is a gem of a facialist at Spavia! Her passion for skincare and attention to detail really made my skin feel rejuvenated. She knows so much about the craft, and took exceptional care to help revive my skin. Casey was absolutely fantastic, personable, welcoming, definitely made me feel this comfort that was...

I had the worst experience of my life during a massage appointment. I booked a 100-minute deep tissue massage after reading positive reviews. I needed the session badly due to the stress in my life, and my body can handle deep tissue work.

The appointment started well. I was welcomed warmly, greeted, and got on the table. Before beginning, the massage therapist asked, "Are you sure you want 100 minutes of deep tissue?" I assured her I did and explained that I really needed the work.

As the massage began, I could tell the therapist was applying extra pressure, but I didn’t mind because I needed the intensity. However, she suddenly stopped and said, “I can’t do this. I’m stopping the service. I’ll wipe off your back.” She didn’t even do that—she simply threw my robe on top of me and left the room. To make matters worse, she left the door open while I was still naked on the table.

I was appalled, disgusted, and deeply embarrassed. I understand if the session was too much for her, but this wasn’t a last-minute booking. I would have been happy to reschedule if she had communicated her concerns beforehand.

To add insult to injury, the manager wasn’t available and never called me to address the issue. Instead, I was offered $30 off my next service. Considering the way I was treated and the time I lost, this offer...
