Update: We noticed the sign said new management so we decided to give it another try. The rude lady wasn't there. The servers were friendly enough this time. The food was good and the menu was expanded with additional Asian cuisines which was a nice surprise. OK, we'll be happy to come back now!
(Previous Visit: I've been here before a long time ago with my children who love sushi. They didn't seem thrilled to see children but they served us and the food was good. (To be clear, there is nothing incredibly high end about this place that would make you think it's for adults only, and my children behaved fine.) Today I came back with my kids and the hostess gave me a blank stare. Finally she asked if I wanted take out. Nooo, I said, we'd like to eat here. She asked me again if I wanted take out. I replied the same and she asked a third time. As I motioned towards the other diners sitting and eating, I replied that we would like to eat here, just like them. So she gave in, though she seems really unhappy about it. I'm only staying for the sake of my kids because I think the whole thing went over their heads, they're hungry, and they were excited I brought them for sushi. She served us without cheer and never even gave us water. When I paid the check she was suddenly very friendly and talkative. Maybe she realized how rude she was before or maybe she was just having a bad moment when we came in? I don't know but I won't be coming back. On my way to get something for all of us to...

Seeing pictures of the food, I fantasized how I would enjoy the wonderful and attractive pieces of fish rolled up in little blankets of white rice with all the delectable trimmings; and the feeling my stomach would have as it roiled in digestive ecstasy made my mouth water with anticipation. After all, such nice dishes must surely be made by beautiful, caring, thoughtful people?
Not in this establishment, my friends...
I had been informed by my absolutely gorgeous girlfriend (who happens to be a Mermaid, just so we are clear) had gone to Momotaro and asked for a booth. She then was told she was (gasp) TOO BIG for a booth. Now, she takes no guff from anyone, and sat herself at same booth, with NO ISSUES. WHATSOEVER! But the person seemed miffed at her defiance. Well...
I hope that the owners sees this and 1.) Apologizes to my lovely girlfriend 2.) Either teaches their staff about treating their customers like gold or FIRES THEM 3.) Sees that this never happens again. TO ANYONE.
In the meantime, don't expect any business from myself, my kind and wonderful girlfriend, or anyone with a beating heart to frequent your dark cave of biased sorrows.
I do mourn for the fish that will go to...
Read moreWe were a party of 3 friends who hadn’t seen each other since 2019. It was a very happy reunion and we looked forward to enjoying a nice meal together and catching up. Of all the places in the area…we decided to patronize this restaurant. Food was good. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and 2 entree’s. From the moment we walked in (to a completely empty restaurant at 7 pm) we were treated completely rudely by the only server in the restaurant. From the moment she put the menu’s on the table, She gave off such a NEGATIVE vibe, like we owed her money. Food came out, she never checked on us, completely dismissive and vague when we asked specific questions about the menu. We should have gotten up and left, or said something…but we didn’t. We ate and focused on our conversation. When the bill came we left her a 20% tip even though she was unfriendly and inattentive. At the end of the meal, AFTER we paid…as she cleared the table, she walked away, speaking Japanese loudly and angrily all the way into the kitchen and the whole restaurant could here. She was tyrannical. Her behavior was unwarranted and unnecessary. Our money will be spent elsewhere next time. ...
