Meal: Drunken Chicken Parmesan sandwich. Ingredients: chicken cutlet, vodka sauce, cheese served on an Italian sub garlic bread. Before O’Sole Mio, this place was Scaturro’s. When this place was Scaturro’s, this was my go to. I’d get a slice here and there, but this sandwich was amazing. So much so that when I saw the name change on the outside, I hadn’t been in until one day a menu was in my mailbox and I thumbed through it and saw that beautiful sandwich listed. I went the next day. It was terrible. I got home to a dry sandwich that was missing the garlic spread on the bread and so little sauce that it really was a hard bite to swallow. Since I ordered it as take out and ate it home, I was able to add some Rao’s sauce to it to make it edible. I chalked it up to everyone is entitled to a Mulligan. I went back a second time over the summer and ordered this sandwich again to go. This time I opened it up in my car before driving home. I unfortunately had to bring it back inside for the same 2 issues: no garlic goodness on the bread and hardly any sauce. It was fixed. I just went back this past Sunday, October 29th for a third time to said name changed restaurant and third time is not a charm. The two pictures that I added to this review show you a very dry chicken, cutlet and dry bread. The word dry is to be defined as little to no sauce and little to know garlic spread. At this point, I feel they should take this sandwich off the menu unless I am the only person who is not getting this order correctly made. I did call and asked to speak to the manager and I believe I spoke to the owner and he said to come back, and it will be made correctly. I think I will take him up on that offer one last time, however, I do not think I will let him know that I am the person who called on the phone because I want to see if it is made correctly on a fourth attempt of me revisiting this restaurant. I am thinking I will announce that I am the person who called after receiving said sandwich. I will say that if the sandwich is made correctly, I will change my review to how I believe the sandwich really is when I was done correctly under the Scaturro named restaurant. That sandwich was a five star all day. Based on my last three experiences, this place is a 1 star on this sandwich. Looking at other reviews, it does seem to be that their entrées are worth trying, however, for some odd reason when I go to pizzerias, I hone in on the pizza and the sandwiches. I don’t really go after the entrées. Sidenote: if this place is completely different and not just a name change that would explain everything and my assumption...

Read moreWe tried out this place by ordering pizza takeouts (Mediterranean pizza) which were consistently delicious. So we decided to dine in. For appetizers, we got the arugula salad and calamari. The salad was fresh and the dressing was refreshing. For the calamari, the rings were crispy outside and tender inside. We also ordered the mussels one time but the portion was too big for two and not our favorite. For pasta, we tried Salsiccia Con Broccoli Rabe and Linguine Vongole. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauces were delicious. For entrees, we ordered Chicken Cleopatra and grilled swordfish. The chicken dish was tasty. The doneness of the swordfish was perfect, but the grill mark tasted a bit bitter. Also, it would be better if it came with some kind of dipping sauce to enhance the flavor. Overall, we liked most of the dishes, especially the pasta! Some places precooked their pasta and just heated it up before serving, which made the pasta saggy and no texture at all. Not here. They knew how to do it. The pasta was cooked to perfection and served al dente. The service was warm and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. Frank, the owner, was always there to welcome customers and make sure they were happy. I appreciate this kind of neighborhood hospitality! This place will be our go-to Italian restaurant...
