Very nicely presented store, I believe the owner (Kevin Harrison) is a talented interior designer. We really love the idea of being able to support local business owners too. I feel bad having to write a bad review for a local business...
Unfortunately, Kevin's skillset does not extend beyond design to customer service or basic communication. My wife purchased a statue to be picked up later; paid, signed, sealed... you get the point. Apparently Kevin wanted to use the statue she purchased for his new store and refused to release it to her. This was not a one of a kind item, another could be ordered but he was not satisfied with the price that she paid. After probing for a solution, she was given the option of paying an additional $350 for a duplicate statue to be ordered and delivered, which she refused. The situation escalated and this man was literally screaming at my wife calling her a "Crazy Witch". I called to try to mediate the situation and Kevin began yelling at me and hung up on me. This is genuinely one of the most bizarre and unbelievable customer service experiences I have ever experienced. I cannot comprehend the logic being used in his handling of this situation. The situation is actually laughable now, just so absurd...
A person’s character becomes very apparent in situations like this. Unfortunately, this is not a man whose business I could ever feel comfortable supporting again.
Bottom line: We discovered that there are some great stores in Fenton that can get all the same items without having to work with a shady business.
Kevin, you did me a favor by keeping the 500 pound statue out of my living room but you degraded my wife with your outlandish and rude behavior. The right thing to do would have been to ship her a duplicate statue for the same price she paid or follow through on your commitment and release the statue she purchased. BTW, still no refund on my...
Read moreI have tried twice now to use there services. I called over the summer to utilize them for a bedroom remodel, wall paper, lighting, furniture etc. I was speaking to one of there designers and it would take 2-3 weeks to get a text back and she didn’t set up an appointment which I found odd. She was going to pull wall paper samples, just crickets.
Then again I said I would give them possibly another chance. Before Christmas I called for a nursery and playroom remodel similar services as above. I was told the designers were busy and they would set an appointment first week of January, never heard back. Even after I explained not hearing anything over the summer. The woman assured me I would be contacted.
My husband is a business owner in Clarkston and I tried twice to give a local business a chance. Unfortunately due to their horrible customer service and follow up they lost a great customer. Which I also shared this with all my friends that are also looking for design services and my neighbors. Word of mouth means a lot in a small town.
I was able to secure a designer in Birmingham that set an appointment up immediately and is able to service Clarkston Village...

Sue took the time to know “me” not just my style before designing my space(s). She listened to my design ideas and worked with me to create casual, living spaces - one where you’re not afraid to sit on the furniture, to feel at home.
What I appreciate the most is Sue’s ability to really listen to my ideas and make them come to fruition. I had a specific idea for a tree hall using a vase I had. I designed the piece and Sue found the engineer to make it. That’s team work!
Over the years I’ve worked with Sue and the Harrison’s team on several projects, both in Clarkston and out of state. Although each project was different the experience was the same,...
