I originally gave this place 5 stars, and that was only because of Brad. He is the only knowledgeable person there. I made the mistake of agreeing to have my 29 year old ring soldered, even though my gut told me not to. I should have followed my instincts. The engagement ring no longer fits in the jacket as it’s supposed to, and the band has marks all over it that were not there before. Definitely don’t let them talk you into using their appraiser! I was advised to do so, especially given the value of gold. But mine came back less than the original appraisal when the ring was purchased! How is that possible? Was it because they sent it to a gem appraiser? That was a complete waste of my money, as was the soldering. I believe it would be a waste of my time to go back and raise these issues. The girls there just try to push you into upgrading, even when you tell them the ring will be a family heirloom. I honestly lost count of how many times I said NO! Then they try to show you other rings. Again, NO! I felt like I was at a car dealership. Stop trying to sell me something I don’t want! I hate that I’ll have to return to this place for ring inspections. Also, make sure to keep ALL your paperwork! The girls tried telling us that the warranty on my ring would NOT be reinstated after we had it repaired. We called customer service, and they told us the warranty would be reinstated. One girl tried disagreeing with us until we mentioned that we had spoken to customer service. Suddenly, she agreed about the warranty. Remember me mentioning Brad? I only give it 3 stars instead of 5 because there is one employee here I absolutely dread seeing in the store. It's so bad I cross my fingers she isn't in there every time I have to go in for something. She's a small blond woman with a heavy accent and every time I go in there she is OUTRAGEOUSLY pushy. Telling me what I want or I what I should buy and if I tell her I want to look around instead of getting what she's offering right away she makes me feel so awful that I feel like I need to be sneaky about going into other jewelers so she doesn't see me. It makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable when she's there. However, everyone else there is super sweet and helpful and this is still by far my favorite jewelry store.
Also she insisted I only size my ring up a certain amount when it was so tight it was making me bleed to wear it. I told her this and what size I wanted it. She refused to size it up that far insisting she new best. I explained to her I had to take my ring off several times a day to wash my hands because of the baby and that if I didn't soap got stuck under it and burned my finger and that it was so tight it was painful to remove. Read moreMy review is purely for the management staff at this store and any of their superiors. It is not directed towards any of the associates who have to follow such a poor example of leadership. Back in December of 2016, we spent countless hours searching for the exact rings that we wanted, driving from store to store to city to city. After finding the dream ring, we were told 6 months later that the lifetime warranty we purchased was no longer available with one of the rings we purchased because they were discontinuing use of that vendor. My only options were to return the ring or select from the other rings they had. That is why I am writing this review. I was given piss poor options on something that I can legally fight them for, being said warranty, and win without a doubt. After paying the 27$ dollars of shipping it back to them, I simply asked if I could have that reimbursed, as it wasn't my fault this incident happened and it shouldn't cost me a penny. I have yet to receive a call from the manager. And to top it off, every time I called I had to deal with the sales associate who sold it to me, so I would have to wait for her to call us back every time she wasn't there when we called. Like why not just deal with this yourself, whomever manages this store? I honestly don't care about the shipping, it's just an ethical issue that I believe the company should look into.
