Happy's Tree Service — Local services in Clearwater

After the impacts of Hurricane Irma in 2017, our condominium association board decided to trim or remove several trees on the association property. We had one large Java Plum tree that had dropped several large branches last year and several folks told us that the tree was unsound and would likely see further damage in the event of another hurricane type event. On that advice, the Board solicited several bids to have the tree removed and the stump ground to grade level. The Board initially voted to accept the bid of another very highly rated provider from Angie's List. After two months it became apparent that the provider the Board had voted to accept had either seriously underbid the project, or lacked the equipment and personnel to complete the job. At that point the Board went back to the list of previous bidders and elected to call Happy's Tree Service based on their bid, which had been very professionally presented. Happy's got our project on their schedule within a week. On Monday, June 18th, Happy's Tree Service showed up at 8:00 am as promised and within three hours had completely removed the large Java Plum tree and ground the stump out below grade level. Steve and his crew were extremely professional and very safety oriented in every aspect of the operation. They have top-notch equipment and it's obvious that they keep it in outstanding working order. The property clean-up was exceptional in every regard. Today I had the pleasure of not having trees trimmed or other services rendered. Instead I had enormous pleasure watching the Happy Tree Service crew removed two very large Oaks from in front of our neighbors house,, remove stumps and clean up their yard. My joy came from watching this six person crew work in harmony to take the trees down, clean up the various residue all over their property and then leave their project in sunning condition. It was a pleasure to watch a Tree Service crew work with such harmony and enthusiasm. I was impressed with their equipment,, their ability, and their expertise. My favorite moment however was when I retrieved our trash barrel after the City did their usual trash run down our street. I collected the barrel with some effort and began to haul it up our hill. Within moments an older worker on the Happy Tree Service crew ran across the street to haul our trash barrel up the hill for me. He was kind gracious and in much better physical condition than I am in. ( I suffer from drop foot, my musculature is compromised and I have become quite weak. All I can say is THANK YOU to Craig for his assistance and to his coworkers who created a situation in which Craig was able to help me. I was in a time crunch due to the fact that was going to have a total knee replacement major surgery in 14 days and the fact it was in June the beginning of Hurricane season so went on line to check out different tree trimming companies but i am very picky about having just anyone cutting on my tree's and i wanted to find a company that employed a license Arbortist and i went many different names i wasn't very happy i was trying to weigh my options could I wait until after i recover from my knee surgery and i went back outside to assess my tree issue only then i realize that one branch was hanging out over my neighbors house, one hanging down between both houses, two were hanging over my own home one was hanging down on top of my A/C unit 2 were hanging out up and over the Electrical pole i tell you the coming from my mouth there weren't lady like, i also needed to prune a newer tree and the palm tree out front was about to fall. I went back inside got on the computer and close my eyes please i need miracle. BINGO . HAPPY 'S TREE SERVICE check all my box but why i made the call is that this company is their lively home and their passion it's a family own. The next day the owner Steve came out seen my serious problem and my time crunch they came back out to help me get this taken care of so i could recover from surgery without any worries.
