Disappointing Customer Service at HomeGoods Clermont
Today I had a very disappointing experience at the HomeGoods store in Clermont. On Sunday evening, I opened a box of outdoor lights I had purchased about a week ago from the Millenia location, only to find that the lights didnāt work. They lit up red and appeared to have damaged/rusty parts, as if they had already been returned by another customer.
Since it was after store hours and HomeGoods was already closed, I went the next day after opening the box to the closest location, which was Clermont. I didnāt have the receipt with me, but I showed my bank statement as proof of purchase. I also called the Millenia store, and they told me I could bring the item to any location and that I would receive either a refund or a store credit ā which is exactly what I wanted.
However, when I arrived at the Clermont store, the manager ā a woman ā was extremely unhelpful and dismissive and didn't provide me her name. From the moment she approached me, she seemed unwilling to assist. She said the most she could offer was $15 for a product I had purchased for $40, even though it was clearly defective and had likely already been returned once before.
This isnāt about the money; itās about how customers are treated. I have been a loyal HomeGoods shopper for years, and Iāve always enjoyed their home products. But experiences like this make me reconsider ever returning to the Clermont location.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and helps improve customer service and how loyal customers are treated. This incident occurred on Monday...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally used to love coming to this store but it seems recently things have changed. Iām noticing a lot of damaged items on the floor being sold. I purchased a airtight container and didnāt notice until I got home it was cracked at the bottom. Then came in last night to get another one and as Iām in line see the same thing on a different air tight food container out of the 4 I was getting. They need to throw these items out! Why are they trying to sell damaged items? There were a lot of scratches on a couple of the other airtight containers and I asked for a little bit of a discount and the manager said no! If you donāt buy them someone else will! His name was Giovani or something like that. Would not even mark the containers down by 10 percent! I was so mad I instantly left without buying anything. What makes me mad is I came in a week prior and an associate offered me 10 percent off for a container but manager would not!! Iām boycotting that homegoods for good! Iāve never had it where they wouldnāt mark down an item by 10 percent if itās damaged. Giovanni would not mark it down by even 50 cents. I thought his attitude was disgusting. Heās the reason we will not be returning. Please train your managers to be customer service friendly. He lost my business over not even marking an item down by a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am a regular customer or this location and tonight needed to get another flower pot for my yard the same one I purchased from here before. Unlucky enough they have the pot but it is ādamagedā so I ask the cashier I really need the same pot, do you discount for the damages? The girl at the front cash was super nice and all their employees are very kind and helpful. She called for the manager twice and it took Mr. Giuseppe 10 min to come from the back of the store to the front counter to tell me that this is the way pots come and you like it or not.
Very disappointed with that customer service from a manager and I had no choice but to get the pot in another color.
I am only giving one star bcs the front cashier was beyond nice...
