Took my mother's wedding ring in that was cut off her finger about 40 years ago and the jeweler told her it was not repairable and would give her scrap jewelry payment. She kept her ring in an envelope all this time and pulled it out recently. I took her ring to Clermont Jewelers in November and there was no hesitation in saying it could be fixed but maybe not "perfect" due to the detailed pattern of the engraving. Gave my mom her repaired ring yesterday for Christmas and she said it looked like new!! You cannot see where it was "fixed" at all!! The work was amazing and the price so reasonable!! I didn’t care for my experience. I wouldn’t recommend trying to sell precious metals to them. They try to sell below spot price which is laughable. Magically the owners kitco price on his phone (older iPhone)was lower than the kitco price on my phone (iPhone 15) in real time and he still wanted his spot price. They will only pay attention to you if you’re buying. If you’re selling they’ll literally serve people that came in after you and make you wait. That happen on two separate occasions. Location may be convenient but I would go down...
