Food Lion — Local services in Cleveland

I go to this Food Lion for my grocery shopping 80% of the time. They have good deals through their MVP card program. You definitely want to download their app on your phone in order to partake in the savings throughout the store. They have a good variety of products available.

The only reason I am not giving the store a 5 star rating is because some of the cashiers could use training in customer relations. A few of them are not very friendly or helpful.

One cashier told me the other day, when I was looking for banana chips, "I don't know. I just started here." She didn't offer to ask or anything. She should have said "I'm not sure, Ma'am. Let me ask someone for you." That would have been great but that didn't happen. I turned around to go back and look for the banana chips and she said "Are you ready?" I looked back at her and said "No. I'm looking for those." I then asked the next cashier beside her lane and he told me where they might be. Sure enough, they were in the location he mentioned.

When I was about to check out, I went to another lane because I honestly was not impressed with her behavior. There was someone finishing up in front of me. I was going to wait patiently for that customer to leave and then check out but the cashier who wanted to rush me out of the store insisted I come over to her lane. She was not helpful and she continued to rush me out.

I will be back to the location again, despite some unhappy visits previously. I just hope the staff will be trained more in customer relations. I would like to see happier attitudes in the staff along with...

Been waiting on ground beef , finally was able to get some.. when I came home to cook it, it was complete mush.. wouldn't hold a shape to make a burger, it seemed to be full of water, and just mush. I was so highly disappointed in the quality since I was waiting a few days for it. It appeared to smell ok, but I couldn't make nothing with it. I bought 6 packages, and started to open them one at a time.. couldn't even be cooked to make tacos. Maybe it was a bad batch, I don't really know because I never had a problem with their ground beef or chuck. I'm out money, I'm out food....

Sometimes I go to Food Lion because I can get in and out so fast yet their prices are on par with the big stores. That was the case tonight. But I love Food Lion's selection too. Plus they don't keep moving things around like other stores do. And they always seem to have enough checkouts open to cover the number of shoppers. If they don't, they call someone up to open another Lane. They have great sales and they post the sales where you can see the prices easily. And they have a new incentive program called Shop & Earn. This month I earned $14 off already low...
