Highly disappointed. Brought in the Xbox Series X for shutting off randomly. Thought it could have been overheating, so bought some external fans for the Xbox and that did not work. Opened it up and cleaned it as well and that didn’t help the issue. I decided to bring it to these guys. They charged me $60.00 up front for a cleaning and thermal paste. I received a call saying that they had no issue with the Xbox and it was ready for pickup, so I thought, hell yeah! All is well! Brought the Xbox home and started gaming, then it shut off after 30 min of gameplay, then an hr and 40 min of gameplay, etc… I called them the next morning to tell them what was going on and someone mentioned how since the Xbox didn’t shut off for them, after sitting in a menu, or not actually playing a game on it…they had no issue with it, so they didn’t really test it out on a high performance game that would get the system going. So, they didn’t even open it up and clean it or put thermal paste on it, and it wasn’t even worked on. So, I brought it back, giving them permission to get onto my account so they could actually test the system out properly on a high performing game, and after 2 hrs, the system cut off and they gave me a call. They said they noticed fps issues as well, they were finally going to open it up, clean it, thermal paste it, and see what all is going on. Later that night, I got a call from them, they ran into an issue. There was a nexus cable piece that needed some repair, that could or could not be the issue, of which, would stop them from continuing their diagnostic testing…they had to fix it to be able to go further…they said the repair to solder would be $200…added onto everything else they would find….i got the Xbox in the truck. I don’t know if they even did the cleaning or even put the damn thermal paste on it 🤣 and also, spent $60.00 and a lot of gas money for a lot of running around……update!!!home at 17:15, and went in with an Xbox Series X to this store with it powering off randomly at times and after not wanting to go further with the repair…got home with the xbox and it doesnt even want to turn on anymore. I knew this xbox worked, they knew it worked for testing purposes…then i get home and it...
Read moreThis is my third trip/attempt to ubreakifix and I've come to understand and realize, they don't fix anything but Ive come to understand that it's not the employees working here but it's the phone manufacturer who sets their rules for them. To be a certified with that particular brand. My complaint is focused primarily towards SAMSUNG. A few if the rules I've come to learn is, Samsung will not allow them to have your device in the stores possession for more than a maximum of 4 hours. They also require any portion of your device that has a scratch in it that a fingernail can go into be replaced. In the eyes I'd SAMSUNG this is considered a crack and must be replaced. Ubreakifix is at the mercy of the companies they are certified repair technicians for. In my opinion this is all done to aggressively pushed the consumer to purchase a new device rather than repairing the one that they have. Bottom line, it's about SAMSUNG'S bottom line... This isn't the only manufacturer I've experienced through this repair shop to place strong restrictions that make it almost impossible for the everyday working consumer to obtain repairs performed. If you never drop your device, get it dirty or flat out never use it and would the color of it changed, then this is where you need to go. Where to get one fixed that is used sometimes in harsh conditions, then take it elsewhere. Where, I don't know as of yet. I suppose I'll attempt to master the skill and art if phone repair on my own.,...UPDATE.... Trying to decide which location to contact on repairing a phone previously was told it couldn't be fixed the first time. The second time was told almost 300$ for a screen and frame because the frame had a scratch that a fingernail would catch on. Now that I've repaired the catch issue, we'll see if it can have a screen installed this time around so this will be still just two locations, two different phones. This will be my third attempt with the same Samsung phone to have a screen replacement to it so we'll wait and see if that actually happens or not.... time will...

Dropped off my Galaxy 22ultra for warranty repair (cracked screen).
I returned to pick it up. It was ready 2 hours after the original quoted time. The new screen had a very obvious deep scratch that the guys helping me pretended not to notice. When I pointed it out, he said to contact asurion for a replacement. (Not taking any accountability) He was trying to get me to walk out of the store without any documentation stating it was their mistake. I called asurion while still in the store, and after spending my time on the phone with them, they agreed to warranty the new screen. Had to leave my phone overnight.
I came to pick it up the next day, and this time, the S pen wasn't connecting to the phone. Again, they tried to pretend it was fine and that it was working (not taking accountability again). Again, they tried to get me to leave the store without any documentation that the S pen wasn't working. I refused to leave and called asurion again. After spending more time on the phone with them, they agreed to replace my phone.
I paid for the liquid glass for the new screen. So, I asked for a refund or for them to agree to install the liquid glass on the new phone. All they said was they didn't have any authority for that. Everyone I spoke with at this store was completely unprofessional and could care less about customer service. No accountability and they didn't even have anybody in the store who could authorize a simple return, making me waste my time again to have to go in and...
