I like shopping at Home Depot, but recently it has been an inconvenience. I went yesterday to return 2 extra items I purchased and I was behind only 2 other customers in line at the customer service desk for over 20 minutes while there was a total of 5 employees behind the desk doing nothing but standing around and having side conversations. 2 of those employees were at a register with 2 customers while the other 3 did absolutely nothing but avoid eye contact and pace around and twirl their hair and stand there to avoid customers when there were other open registers they could use to help. Over 20 minutes of standing there with the line not moving at all and it was not a busy time. Then when I finally got up to the register, the employee I dealt with was just very rude to me for no reason and I was done with my return in less than 2 minutes. Please do better Home Depot, this is terrible service. You have an actual register when you walk in that is for returns that you never use and you guide people to the customer service desk instead where your employees are rude and don't even greet the customers. Another thing is I ordered some items online recently to be shipped to my house and was given a completely different item than what I ordered. I texted the driver right after like I was instructed to do if I had an issue with my order, there was some random employee was messaging me back and forth for an hour and in the end just said "have you tried just going to the store to return it?" The point of an online order from this exact store was for the convenience of not having to drive 30 minutes to your store, to then have to go back to the store and return an item that is not even on the receipt because it was the wrong item sent to me. You should have offered to send a driver to swap the item out. Do better for...
Read moreWARNING GIFT CARDS!!! BEWARE!!! I had previously given Home Depot a 5 star review and have used them for my contracting business as well as personal purchases in respect to their consistent helpfulness and well trained employees. I recently got married and requested Home Depot gift cards for wedding gifts. On 05/15/24 at 10:46 am I was at the pro checkout, transaction code 0743 0052 *, scratching off PIN numbers from three gift cards to pay for my purchase. The sales associate noticed the PIN number scratched off as he was watching me. He then took pictures of the faint curved pin lines that remained with his phone and he along with another team member tried to guess at what the numbers could be and even tried multiple entries to no success. This sales associate has always been very helpful and professional in all my dealings and I believe he tried his absolute best. He then suggested calling the customer service number on the card. I called customer service and was given a case number. They told us to go back to the Home Depot and speak with customer service as they could assign a new PIN. I went back to customer service and spoke with the assistant manager. He said the gift card money was completely lost and that this same issue happened to someone else several days ago. He also said he did not understand why the Home Depot customer service number keeps referring people to come back to the store. Please remedy...

I go up front and ask a employee if there is a manager available that I could speak to. The employee immediately asked me what was wrong and if they could help me.
