I came in with a concrete plan but I was upsold and lied to about the extra cost. The nail tech Naomi asked why didn’t I want gel and I told her I was on a budget, so wanted the $50 regular combo. She insisted I get acrylic overlay telling me she thinks it’s 5-10 extra and lasts a month. When she returned with a price check she told me $60. It wasn’t until Naomi was done that she expressed the full breakdown down, my manicure only was $60 and gel $35 which totaled to $95. This was double than what I intended! It was so dishonest of her. The owner up front gave me $5 discount after I asked and explained which was kind of him. He said she thought Naomi gave me a breakdown since we both spoke Spanish but she withheld the full details for the end. In hindsight I should have had them remove the acrylic and give my intended set and price.. She used inappropriate tools and was very rough, cutting the edge of my big toe nail beds. The manicure looks alright, certainly not worth $60. Proceed with caution and ask about the FULL price throughout the service to not be surprised. Also the back of the chairs have no massagers, which was a huge disappointment. Update: I have called the salon with my thoughts and the owner, Cam has stated he will remove the acrylic for me. I have increased the stars due to his customer service. Update 2: I went to remove the nails, but cam was not present however, Lee took care of and did great job shaping and cleaning up after the soak off. Thank you very much for resolving the original issue. Below is also an updated photo

I came for a pedicure today, as the technician was doing it she cut my cuticle on my big toe and I started to bleed. I was watching her as she did it, It was an accident and she kept apologizing. The technician tried putting nail glue on my open wound.. I instantly stopped her. At this point I was just done and did not want to continue the pedicure or polish my toes. I went to the front desk and told the girl what had happened just to make it known incase I get an infection. I was in pain but the bleeding finally did subside. I told the girl I was still going to come back because it was an accident but things changed when she told me I was still going to have to pay for the service. She told me she was going to have to call her boss so she stepped outside to talk to her. The conversation went on for minutes so I decided to just leave the $30 on the counter and as I was walking out she told me the owner said I only have to pay $20. I think it’s ridiculous how I was expected to pay for a service when I was bleeding and couldn’t finish the pedicure or polish my toes. I was very understanding until they still wanted me pay, I should have been compensated for their mistake.

Wanted to support a local business and have a relaxing day after a dear friend passed away. This was my first time at this salon and woah it’s absolutely gorgeous. The service on the other hand, horrible. I was very sad and healing from the funeral the day before. The lady who was assigned to do my nails send me to the back and I must have missed when she told me to sit 3 chairs down. When I went to the back no one directed me where to sit so I just sat wherever. When the nail technician came back and noticed I was seating in another chair, BARKED at me and said, I said the 3rd chair… Everyone starred and made me feel horrible and stupid. Throughout my entire visit I felt she was very annoyed by me and did not have a warm/welcoming energy at all. She seemed like she had a very severe cold which was also considering. I came out of the feeling worse. The nails came out good in my opinion but for me service is very important. I will never come back here again.

If I could give a zero, I would. I have had some time to think about this review in order to let the events of what happened to me sink in and not write a review out of anger. I've been a client at Fiina Nail Lounge for about 2 years- a loyal client to Sandy, the owner. My appointments were every 3-4 weeks to get a full 6 finger nail design by Sandy ranging in cost from about $200-$300 (I had to pay in cash, which is shady enough because all the other nail techs at the salon take credit cards). Each visit I gave her free range to do any design as she pleased; however, the last design wasn't up to par with previous ones, but I let it slide. When I went in for my next appointment (9/29/17) I showed her a picture of nails (that she did) so she had an idea for a design. As she began the design I told her I did not like the gold swarovski crystals she was using since the picture I showed her had rose gold- so she took them off. Then she had the nerve to say "This is why you should let me do my own design and not show me pictures." Once again, I showed her pictures of nails SHE previously did. So then she proceeded to do another design and I could tell she began to not care what she was doing by her attitude and lack of attention to detail. When she was done with one nail I told her that it (again) didn't look close to the design I showed & told her I wanted. The design she created on my one nail was so ugly that I asked her if she would wear it on her nails because I knew she wouldn't. She then looked down and said I was making her uncomfortable and that she couldn't finish my nails. At this point my nails were chipped, had glue on them and had no polish on them - no owner would ever let a client leave their place of business with nails looking like mine. Not to mention I had a wedding the following day and was going on vacation that week. Sandy then asked me to leave. Yes, she asked a loyal client who simply didn't like a design to leave her store because that apparently made her uncomfortable. So I calmly asked her if she is really going to leave me with nails looking this way and she reiterated that I made her uncomfortable and she wouldn't even let anyone else just put a color on my nails. I was mortified. She was treating me like I was threatening her and her business and yet all I said was I didn't like her work-I guess she's never heard that before and that made her uncomfortable. I've never in my life have been treated with such disrespect from a business owner whose business is client services. This woman needs to learn that people are paying her a lot of money to provide a service that they should be happy with. You don't throw people out of your store if they don't like a design you came up with. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. Not only is Sandy disrespectful but she is always late so you will always be waiting. She acts like she is privileged and above everyone else. I hope karma really gives it back to this woman and...

Customer service is just as important, if not more important, as the quality of my nails and while Fiina provides great nails, from shape to design, their customer service is lacking, which is why I left.

The shape and designs that come out of this shop are amazing - based on the IG pics anyway. I went here 5 times and was pleased with my design only once. My shape was always perfect but the designs, not so much. My nail tech was Mayra and I believe she was still training while I was her client. There were a couple of times that I wasn't please with my design but having been there for 2 hours, I just let it go. As long as the shape of the nail was to my liking, I could deal with not being 100% pleased with the design.

Again, customer service is key. A few days before my fourth appointment, an appointment I made 3 weeks in advance, the owner called asking if he could change my appointment, didn't give me a reason why. I said sure and asked for a morning appointment. He gave me November 23rd, the day before Thanksgiving, at 3pm. I arrived on time but my tech wasn't ready. I waited about 20 minutes before I was assigned to another tech. They didn't seem to care that not only had they changed my original appointment but also that I had to wait once I arrived - kind of defeats the purpose of making an appointment. Nonetheless, when I left, I made my next 2 appointments, one for December 10th and one for December 31st. because I knew with holidays approaching, they would fill up fast.

It came time for my December 31st appointment, an appointment I made six weeks prior. Starting December 1st, they had switched the scheduling procedure to an online format and as a customer, I was told that format was for appointments beginning January 1st. A few days before my appointment, I got a phone call from the owner again, telling me that he needed to change my appointment because they switched to the online format and someone booked my time slot online. I explained to him that I was told the online system was for appointments made from January 1st and after & also that considering I had made my appointment 6 weeks ago, that the person that booked online should be the one he reschedules. He would not budge, his only explanation was that they were using the new system now. The fact that I was an existing customer, that booked an appointment well in advance, meant nothing to him. I told him this was the second time he asked to reschedule my appointment and he still showed no concern or remorse. So, I told him to cancel my appointment and I haven't been back since.

I expect to be treated respectfully and fairly, especially as a paying customer, I won't return here based on the poor customer service, nor will I recommend people to go here. But if all you care about is your nail...

First of all, do not offer a service that you clearly don’t do or know how to do. I called ahead of time to see if they did SNS. He said yes on the phone and the charge was $35 for the service. I get there, I am seated waiting for the lady and she tells me what am I getting done today. I said SNS and she said okay. Goes to cut my nails off which she wasn’t supposed to when I specifically said I wanted to keep the length. Then instead of soaking off my nails which is the way it should always be done, she cuts the dip powder layer off with a clipper and almost ripped off my nail. After complaining, I told her that they need to be soaked off since they were all lifted and this is a process that needs to be done from the beginning. She put my hands in a bowl of acetone and then two minutes later says “oh wait! This is a refill not a full set” and I’m just sitting there confused because for SNS you always redo it every time, there isn’t such thing as refill or full set. Long story short, she did my nails like they were acrylic, used gel top coat as adhesive and my nails came out horrible, they were extremely bumpy, out of shape, and she didn’t even allow the dip powder to dry in between so it kept falling off. Once she was done, I said thank you and walked away. I told the guy at the front desk what had happened when he asked and he said all he can do for me is take $5 off my service because her mistakes were small and that they RARELY do dip powder so it was unfamiliar. I was almost speechless. I prompted to leave and then he said that he’ll have his guy file them and make them look nice so that the nails didn’t look as bumpy and thick and I told him to just soak them off and just do gel and he said that I had to pay extra $25 for that and then I said no. I waited 20 minutes and then I told him that I will just pay and leave and figure something out on my own. He insisted I stay and if I wasn’t satisfied, that he’ll soak them off at no charge but I still had to pay for the service. I waited and his guy did an awesome job at filing them and making them look good but I knew they were going to pop off in a week so I just payed the $30 dollars for the service and tipped the guy that filed my nails $10 because he treated me well. And as I anticipated, my nails popped off 6 days after. My money went to waste and I spent the holidays with horrible nails. Never again. Don’t offer a service you don’t do, stick...
