GameStop — Local services in Clifton

I had called this GameStop several hours before coming in, asking them to put a PlayStation 4 Pro on hold for me. They’re currently discounted and selling fast. They told me they’d be putting their last one on hold for me. I drove for an hour to Clifton since this was the only store with a PlayStation 4 Pro that hadn’t been taken yet. When I got there, I found out that they had sold it to someone else, even though they took down my name and information and assured me they would hold it for me. It was a colossal waste of time and energy, and the staff refused to take responsibility for the mishap. One worker was visibly angry and abruptly exited the register area and went into the back room, muttering something under his breath about how it wasn’t his problem. I’ve never had another experience like this with the GameStop chain, and they wouldn’t even rectify their mistake by giving me a future discount or even a small gift card. This place is probably the best Gamestop I've ever used honestly. I didn't even know it existed until about 2-3 years ago but it's not far from home and the staff is really nice here. The people at the register are always helpful and it's pretty striaght-forward getting in and out. Other than digital downloads I try to get all my gaming stuff from this location. Gamestop doesn't do computer equipment, but when I have the option between getting something from this place or the BestBuy in Woodland Park, I much prefer this place.

The main guy I often see at the register Morgan is not a difficult person to work with as someone who's interacted with him at least 5 times. Both before and during COVID precautions I've watched that guy very patiently put up with a lot of crazy stuff. I understand that you have a closing time, but how dare you begin to close the gates when there are people still inside, with children mind you?!? I mean, neither of you imbeciles in there (oh this is the night of 8/25 at closing time) even tried to help me with what I needed. I needed a specific title for a specific console (very easy- just ONE thing), and instead of hanging up your cell phone and acting like a human being, you pointed your dirty finger towards the door. How disgusting are you people? If that happens again, I will call the authorities because what you did IS a fire hazard and will add up to hefty fines if you are charged, and you will be. You people might need some serious management training, and just general people skills too while...
