Window City — Local services in Clifton

I wonder how these practical jokers get 5 stars?!? Our condo building recommends Window City Inc for window replacements, and Window City lists some quality manufacturers on their site, so I really made an effort to get a quote to replace 4 windows. There is a contact form on Window City web site, I filled it inout – no response... not really surprising. Called sales number –they respond they don't work with our building – huh, strange, given the the specific recommendation from the building. Tried calling couple more times finally got connected to Mike, who seems to know everything about our building, knows how to use email, responds to emails same day! Nice, it looks like we are in business, Mike promises to get quotes from 2 manufacturers. Time goes on, Mike responds to email inquiries about the quotes, promised to get a quote from 3rd manufacturer too. Finally got an email with dollar number, bit high but OK, I ask Mike for quote details in order to proceed. Silence. No response to emails, no response to phone calls, total ghosting.

One time Ritchie responded at Mikes phone extension. Promised to help, knows our building. Sent team of 2 people to measure the windows! Seems like we are in business again! (Mike has only asked for my approximate measurements). Things are a bit weird with Ritchie though, each phone conversation ends with him saying "I call you tomorrow", "I call you on Monday" or similar, but he never called, not once, I always need to chase him down. But anyway, time to do business, get the quote(s) with professionally done measurements – turns out Ritchie refuses to get me a quote from manufacturer that Mike pitched, instead insists on using one low-end shop. OK, I am so fed up with this, I agree, ask for email address to continue the quoting process, Ritchie is evasive, "I will give you my email tomorrow"...

The condo high rise I live in contracted a HUGE job with Window City. They guaranteed their work. And now, with water infiltrating, the manager of my building tried to reach Window City on several occasions for them to honor their warranty. They were completely unresponsive. Manager used another company to stop the water infiltration. Watch out before you do business with...
