built my first ofrenda this year and came to la jarochita in search of pan de muerto. i have been trying to honor the tradition respectfully and felt that supporting a local mexican business was the right way of doing it.
this is an authentic mexican bakery, i could tell just by walking in. the environment is very homey and welcoming, the ladies that run the front are sweet and informative. one of the women explained to me that you grab a tray and your serve yourself the bread you want and then you take it to the counter.
so i asked for a few opinions and chose a bunch of options. i left with pan de muerto and a bunch of other pastries / bread. it was very affordable!
everything is fresh and a lot of them are still warm fresh from the oven! the taste is very good. happy i came. recommend and will be back! much...

Everyone who complains about parking, the size of the place or the friendliness of the staff please go elsewhere. These ppl work hard at what they do and they have no control over their location or the size of the bakery. The bread is phenomenal due to its soft core and crunchy exterior. The bread is red inside with your usual sugar coating on top. However this is the most softest bread ever made by man.
