Dominic's Catering — Local services in Clinton Township

We used Dominic's for our daughters communion this past Saturday. I found them through Google and FB searches about 6 weeks ago. After reading reviews and looking at their menu/prices we made the right choice. Someone had called the day before asking to make a chicken substitution which resulted in an upgrade for the same price. The caterer's arrived on time and everything was prepared accordingly. We had 30 adults and 12 younger kids and everyone raved about the taste. We had quite a bit of leftovers that people gladly took and we had some of our own. The only two suggestions I have would be.....order more bread! We had 5 pieces gone within 30 seconds, someone taking 2 at a time! I wished we would have gotten the sauce with the Chicken dish. They were thin, cooked well with a nice coating but having a little more flavor would have been better. The Italian Sausage/Peppers was excellent as well as the Alfred Pasta. Green beans and smashed, garlic mashed potatoes were also very good. We don't cater much but they'll certainly get another order from me and hopefully someone else that was...

TERRIBLE customer service !! and NO loyalty, We've used Dominic's for many events in our family was always pleased with their food. Our last experience with them is our last ! We had them for our sons celebration of life party. On our part we first was going to put the bill on our credit card BUT we had the courteous to change our payment to a check so that they would not get charged the 3% fee. They in turn had their wait staff come to our event and ASK for a tip, we were not prepared for that we thought the "Service Fee" on the contract covered that. We asked if we could drop off some money the next day to the office for them and they in turn told us no they always get tipped now,and the waited the half hour for us to run home and get a check book to pay them !! When we called the office to inform them about all of this they first acted like they would make it right but in the end they told us they could not do anything about that it was our fault that we tipped and over tipped at that !! We just used Dominic's catering for the first time on Sunday for our daughter's 1st birthday and we thought the food we ordered was absolutely to die for! We ordered a full tray of the plain breaded chicken with the amogio sauce on the side and a full tray of the white wine cream chicken with mushrooms (although we ordered it wirhout; that was the only thing that was messed up) but everyone raved about the chicken! It was honestly one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted!!! We will most definitely be back for...
