Ordinarily my experience in this store is positive but today I experienced a violation of my personal property and myself by the cashier, Sarah. When I presented my phone with the membership barcode for scanning she took the phone out of my hand. I protested and she insisted, "It's ok" and then proceeded to rifle through my phone. I told her to stop and reached for my phone she dodged away again saying, "It's ok. It's ok. I want to see your rewards." I have called the manager and was assured this would be dealt with while simultaneously getting to hear what a nice person Sarah is. Not germane, not my experience. NO MEANS NO! Doesn't matter what the circumstance is she was violating my property and my privacy. It's NOT ok!. I did not leave thinking about the excellent customer service and interaction I had at the deli but instead with seething anger about a woman who said when she realized my irritation, "Let me see your face so I don't try to help you again"
MY RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: I looked at the form you directed me to to cull further information. It is pointless. If this was a boiler-plate or an AI response I would suggest you be more honest and just state that you cannot be bothered to address bad reviews...

It had no indicator on the doors, but you had to walk through the registers to shop the store. Then out on the floor people were restocking, I was looking at items when a worker walked in front of me as if I wasn't even standing there. I had to say excuse me three times before I was acknowledged, and even then he didn't say sorry or excuse me, or anything at all. He looked at me and went back to restocking. I get it's his job, but he walked inches in front of me and stood there like I was non existent. Then I got to the register where I entered, and the boy ringing us out was sniffling and wiping his nose with his hand. My husband and I stopped by the Big Y in Clinton today and had the pleasure of being helped by a young man named Zay at the sub shop. From the moment we walked up, Zay was welcoming, friendly, and had such a positive attitudeâit truly made our visit a bright spot in the day! He greeted us with a big smile and made us feel like valued customers.
Zay chatted with us while preparing our food and mentioned he's only been working there for 2 1/2 weeksâhonestly, we never would have guessed! He was professional, confident, and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. And the best part? Our paninis were absolutely delicious!
Big Y is lucky to have Zay on their team. Weâll definitely be back and weâll be hoping to see him...
