The atmosphere is lovely, and there are so many creative options, but they charge extra for everything. Can I have a burger with lettuce tomato onion and cheese? 1.50 extra. Can I try a little of both sauces? 1.50 extra. The special Fries were also 1.50 extra which I get but I didn’t know everything other item would be charged.
Also, the burger had a lot of little hard parts in it that hurt my teeth (like cartilage or something). I usually only buy burgers from nice restaurants because your average diner is going to use a frozen burger and you have a lot of those little cartilage bites in the frozen burger.
This burger definitely didn’t look like a frozen burger but it had a lot of those little cartilage bites and I will definitely never order a burger here again. It hurt my teeth (I do have a medical condition, so I’m definitely more picky than the average person but I think using high quality ground beef is the way to go).
I also just personally did not like the fries with the rub on them, and I thought that you couldn’t really taste the wasabi with the goat cheese dip, or the chipotle dip with all of that seasoning on the fry.
I do like the idea of having different kinds of sauces to dip your french fries it now. It’s a great idea!
I was thinking that with their fig on the menu, if they had a sweet fry, would like cinnamon in Sugar, you could dip it in fig sauce, and in goat cheese! Mmmmm.
The waitress was wonderful. Very kind and very attentive.
I did have to send my burger back because it came out with just cheese and a few onions on top.
But the service was great, and they were quick to do that.
Most of my complaints involve the fact that the burger hurt my teeth, and I just didn’t like being charged extra without being told I would be charged extra for a couple of...
Read moreIt's not often I write a review. Usually it's either because it's great, or horrible. Well this was horrible. It's Friday night, it's busy, I get it. We got seated, ordered our food. We already had drinks because we sat at the bar while waiting to be seated. I ordered The Trinity which is a $30 plate with brisket, bbq chicken, and pulled pork. My girlfriend ordered a pizza. My food arrived first, girlfriend's about 3-4 minutes later, not great but no big deal. The brisket was like refrigerator cold, chicken barely warm, pulled pork warm in the center of the pile getting colder towards the outside. Mind you by the time the food came out, the place was only half full. Girlfriend's pizza was fine, nothing to write home about, but fine. Very shortly after we received our food our waitress came by to check on us. We ordered one drink each. Those drinks NEVER came. After we finished our meals was the next time she came by to check on us. We asked for the check and in slurred words she said "I never got you guys your drinks" we said "it's fine we just want our check at this point, thank you." You have a drunk waitress waiting tables?! Not to mention the place seems extremely disorganized. Our waitress was helping tables on the other side of the restaurant. We got asked by three separate people if we were all set while waiting to be seated. Seems like no clear cut roles, no streamlined process whatsoever. I honestly do not understand how this place has such good reviews....
Read moreChow is absolutely amazing. They just catered our backyard wedding in June for 150+ people and we couldn’t have asked for better food or service! We received so many compliments on the bbq buffet - literally every dish was amazing. We had pulled pork and brisket that people could eat by itself or make tacos or sliders with. They made delicious mac and cheese, pasta salad, potato salad, coleslaw, and arugula salad with craisins, walnuts and goat cheese. Literally everything was amazing and I’m pretty sure every guest went back for seconds. The Chow staff were also spectacular - they set up everything nicely, kept the whole buffet replenished, and were very professional throughout the evening. Two things that really stand out in my mind - they made up heaping plates for my husband and I so we could have a chance to sample everything when we had a free second (it’s true what they say - your wedding day flies by in a blur!!). The second thing that really stood out to me was that the Chow staff packaged up all of the leftovers and organized them in our fridge. They even put the meat in our oven in case anyone wanted leftovers later in the evening. Now that is what I call amazing service and anticipating customers’ needs! My husband and I can’t recommend Chow enough for any of your catering needs. Their food is fantastic and their customer service...
