The weirdest experience I have EVER had at a food establishment. We walked in and there was one young man working. There was two men ahead of me and my boyfriend and while they were ordering the worker seemed extremely confused and out of it. He was messing up the types of ice cream they ordered and every single topping. The customers had to repeat themselves at least 5 times for each topping. At this point we had been waiting about 10 minutes for him to finish one small bowl of ice cream. We were going to leave but decided to stay. We ordered and the worker did the same to us. Constantly asking us to repeat what we ordered and he just seemed very out of it. Not to assume or accuse but from what I saw, He seemed to be on some type of drugs or alcohol. When he went to go scoop our ice cream he grabbed a sample spoon and started eating the ice cream out of the container, then he threw the spoon away, grabbed a new one and took another bite out of the ice cream. We were in shock and I asked him what the problem was with the ice cream. He then said “nothing is wrong with it, i don’t work here im just inspecting it” I said what?? and he said this is not my store and im an inspector. What he said wasn’t even making sense and he was the only employee in there and took care of two customer before hand. I hope the owners look into this employee they have. New owners are terrible. Also the reviews on here are fake from the owners and I’m sure this will get...
Read moreI’ll start off by saying I had a gift card. So I didn’t exactly choose this establishment as a returning customer. For a large icecream with one topping, it was 11 dollars. One would expect some seriously top quality ice cream for that price. That was far from the case. The icecream tasted far worse than anything one could purchase at the grocery store in the freezer section. Don’t get me wrong. The ice cream was definitely ice cream. But super low quality. There was no staff in there, on a Saturday night. Just one guy frantically running around. 11 dollars for a cup of super low quality icecream and zero staff, is a serious indication of a business circling the drain. Scoops in Essex, right down the street from my house has 10x the quality and is 1/3 of the price. They have friendly staff and a lovely owner. And they have lunch cards where you can get free icecream! I highly recommend taking the extra few minutes and visiting either scoops in Essex or honeycone in Chester if you want super high quality hand made icecream for much lower cost. Cold stone is a dead name in a dead economy, support your local businesses and go with a smaller name cream shop. You won’t regret it. After spending 23 dollars and 2 ice creams that are worse than store brand ShopRite icecream in a tub. Take your money somewhere else. Dead company. And a dead business. Bye bye. Never...
Read moreSo this was right next to Dunkin and honestly most people were walking right by,but not us. It was our lunch and we can get a coffee anytime. I love the variety and the concoctions they come up with. Totally jamming on the blueberry muffin batter ice cream. What wasn't appealing was some big box that needed to be picked up, taking up most of the restaurant, but once you get over that monstrosity the service was awesome. She was giving me ideas I could put in my ice cream instead of things I didn't want. Very pleasant and we we're saying hmmm the whole time....
