I’m notorious for playing around with color but I was ready to go back to my natural color (dark blonde) in preparation for looking a bit more natural for my wedding. I had dyed my hair a deep purplish brunette color and then put black box hair dye on top of that (like I said I have no fear lol I play around a lot). I knew this was going to be a multi-visit process but holy moly did she do a great job lifting all that junk out of my hair in the very first session! After she stripped as much of it as she could without damaging it, she put a temporary color on to blend my roots to match the (surprisingly nice) dark brown/red color it lifted to and it looks great. She answered all my questions and gave me guidance on how to keep up with it as we continue the process of getting it back to normal.

As far as price, I honestly can’t tell you whether it was good or not. I’ve only ever gone to a family friend’s salon which I know charges way less than the typical prices out there. Unfortunately I moved so I needed to find somewhere new. What I can tell you is they sent me home with a very decent sized complimentary shampoo and conditioner and I get some kind of complimentary conditioning treatment when I go back as well, so either way, even if the price is more than what people consider to be reasonable, I was 100% satisfied.

I would not say this salon is terrible but it certainly isn't good. I came in for a consultation and the stylist seem to understand what I wanted. Arriving at the appointment, the stylist ( who I got the impression wasn't very seasoned) started cutting my curly long hair dry. I thought sure, why not. Then came the coloring. I had brought photos and been specific on what I wanted. The highlights were red instead of blond. That was ok. I know she was trying. She seemed nervous and inexperienced. Then she asked as my hair was wet and the color done, what I wanted to do.At that point, clients were waiting, she would have preferred that I leave. Instead I asked for a blow out. BOY, I have never been to a stylist who had no idea how to blow out hair. She just blew the hairdryer around my head in circles. My hair was a frizzy mess. She seemed impatient and then flat ironed my hair. She suggested I get a keratin treatment. As it seems she wasn't the biggest fan of my long hair. I was taken aback that the stylist had no idea how to blow out hair. I finally gave up and left. I finished my hair at home.
