Mochi Queen — Restaurant in Clinton

Super cute! Keep in mind this place JUST opened a day ago, so the 1 star review someone already put is really very harsh. I went in the afternoon and they had a steady line of people, so it was pretty busy but they consistently had fresh donuts coming out. I’ve had mochi donuts before and I really enjoyed the variety Mochi Queen offered! Taste? Melt in your mouth but crunchy at the same time. Really delectable. I tried the brown sugar and cinnamon sugar. Drinks, I tried the sugar tiger bubble tea and my friend tried the Thai latte. Both were yummy! If you’re not familiar with the pricing, beware; this is NOT Krispy Kreme! A six pack will be $22 or so. But to support a local business, I will happily oblige. The atmosphere? Adorable! Pink and white are everywhere and the seating is nice to hang while you wait or stay for a bit and chat. There’s a large display of donuts to choose from and an electronic menu offering the donut prices, drinks and even some appetizers and Vietnamese sandwiches! The service workers were incredibly nice! Mochi Queen is a nice addition to Clinton's food offerings. I've never had mochi donuts before, so I can't compare them to anyone else's, but these are chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside and are only lightly sweetened -- very good! I had the pork sandwich, which was excellent. Whatever the meat is marinated in was very tasty, the vegetables are fresh and crunchy, and the baguette was super fresh and lightly toasted. My kids had the chicken sandwiches and were also impressed with the delicious flavors and excellent quality of all the ingredients. My kids loved the drinks and my daughter said the milk tea was the best she's ever had. We've been there twice already and will be back again and again. I recently had the opportunity to try your donuts and found them quite enjoyable overall—though one did seem slightly stale. My primary concern, however, is the pricing. At $41.25 plus tax for a dozen, the cost feels exceptionally high, particularly for the Clinton, NJ area.

For comparison, both Dunkin' and Duck Donuts offer a dozen for approximately $24. While I understand there may be differences in quality, ingredients, or presentation, the price gap is significant.

I genuinely hope your business succeeds, but I believe such pricing may make it difficult to remain competitive in this market. It might be worth reconsidering your pricing strategy to ensure long-term sustainability. 2...
