Unbelievably disappointed in a shop that I previously frequented but will no longer be back to. I entered the shop without a mask after reading the sign that said a mask is “recommended”. Last I checked, the dictionary doesn’t list recommended and “required” as synonymous. To go orders are the only inside orders permitted, it was obviously going to be a quick visit. After being screamed at by an employee that I need to step back farther from the counter to order because I didn’t have a mask on (even though I was on the other side of a clear partition), the same employee turned to the others and screamed for everyone in the shop to hear that obviously they would have to change their sign because customers keep having the audacity to enter without masks. I watched the same employee treat the next customer who wasn’t wearing a mask in the same fashion (after ordering about $30 worth of drinks compared to my one) and then was interestingly enough given the incorrect drink. I have to think this was done out of spite. I’m astonished at this employee’s conduct. I should’ve gotten her name, but was so shocked in the moment it didn’t even cross my mind. She may not agree with the policy that her company is following, but that doesn’t mean she should feel so entitled as to treat paying customers...
Read moreCaribou coffee at Clive location has been amazing place to get my hot mocha. Taste has been consistent , it was rich and tasty always. Tasted the same all the time. That has changed recently. Once I requested barista to kindly fix it for me , she was nice to make it again after admitting that not all the mocha mix was well mixed and there was some mix left in the bottom of pot. That explained the watery taste of Mocha. I went there again today on my way to work, ordered mocha hoping it wouldn’t be watery, but to my disappointment, its watery again and no taste. I didn’t ask barista anything, but painfully dumped my coffee and went to work. Its sad to see the one drink I liked and was consistent is not the...
Read moreWe have made it a point to visit Caribou coffee establishments whenever we are in their area. Todays visit was a bit of a shocker. The drink board was something we’d expect in a Starbucks- a myriad of ways to make sweet coffee flavored milk beverages. My husband thought he would not be able to get an americano. He was able to get one by specifying but I was afraid to try for a properly made cortado if simple espresso drinks aren’t featured. We bought a bag of beans and hope they are as good as we used to enjoy. We’ll savor our old memories of a time gone by and look for independents next time we’re in...
