I can't say enough good things about Derek. I took in my vintage Singer machine from the late 60's/early 70's. I said "i don't want a new machine, just fix this". Derek took his time, cleaned it and was very honest about what needed fixing. I just got it back and it's like new again. This is a heirloom to me, it was my aunts so it was important someone took great care of it. Derek did and he always kept me updated via phone on anything he had to do and if I was in agreement. He never did anything without my approval. If I could give 10 stars I would. Don't go anywhere else- honest, fair and will not try to sell you a new machine....

I called D&J to ask a simple question and, not only was my question answered in full, but I was delighted to get even more information about other products. This may seem a bit of a no brainer, but I am 3K miles away and not even a customer. Unfortunately, my local store would not answer certain questions over the phone and I was asked to come in. I had dropped my elna even foot feeder and Derrick was able to fix mine in under 10 minutes!! D&J also had a new replacement even foot feeder part available to purchase in stock so if Derrick could not have fixed my foot, they still could have me up and sewing in less time than it would have taken me to order a part on line!
