Big 5 Sporting Goods — Local services in Clovis

This review is for the Clovis store here. Clovis doesn't feel the same as it used to. People here seem more rushy in the valley rather than relaxed and people get to the same areas at same time. Years back I remember the Big 5 employees men and women were either a little bit nice saying hi quietly which is fine, but some of the ladies walking around seemed stuck up, I would wave and smile and they just look the other way. I remember some people in California mentioned L.A. people can be rude like this too, just stand off ish. This year I gave this Big 5 another chance, and when I entered 2 employees greeting me in a good mood and others customers too as they were looking around. It's nice to see employees like where they're working for a change and enjoy being around other people. Another lady with a nice smile asked me how I was doing and I greeted her too, I was looking at the walking and jogging clothes since the weather was nice even if it was a bit chilly at times outside. This store has lots of sports activities to shop for, basketball, tennis , footballs backpacks, etc, and I checked out the ladies shoes too. Also this store levelled up their organisation too it looked really good and stocked. The cashier was super nice and she had a nice laugh as well. Very negative experience! Went to buy a Fishing License 25 minutes later they tell me that I need to go to the Fish and Game department because the system said that I wasn't a citizen. Guess who created the issue, the employee who was doing the fishing License. Screwed up with my address multiple times and never could type the correct address to match each other. I questioned his mistakes and he told me that he fixed his mistakes and stated that I had to go get my license from the Fish and Game. Now we're over 40 minutes into this. I had a lot of items I was planning to purchase for my fishing trip but just left them at the register. Went to Fish and Game, guess what? They told me that the employee screwed up the purchase with NON MATCHING ADDRESSES. Hmmmm same thing that I questioned the employee on. I'm writing a review today on the customer services and the well being of any person in a hurry to get in and get out. I went in today looking for duffle bags i seen online. I found an employee and asked him if he worked there and where the duffle bags where. He pointed to the wall and said over there knowing they where out of reach then walks off and don't seem to sell me anything at this time. I started walking over to the duffle bags to almost be decapitated by a hook that caught me by surprise getting stuck in my braid and ripping my head back. I'm supprise more people haven't said anything I didn't let anyone know for I was in a hurry and I didn't have time to argue or be anymore embarrassed then I already was.
