Ordered food i the Bob Evans app inline our delivery time was 1:03 was wailed until 1:20 and called to see what was going on they gave us a number telling us we had to call them which turned out to be door dash which shouldn’t of been our responsibility to call Bob Evans is the one that has DoorDash delivering for them but we called they told us they would dispatch somebody in about five minutes later said there was nobody in our area and told us we had to call Bob evans so called them back at around 130 and asked to have our order remade and then we would come pick it up ourselves but was not going to pay the delivery fee was told I had nothing to do with Bob Evans we’d have to deal with that through door dash So they agreed to remake her food with her long it would take they said five or 10 minutes so I jumped in the car went down there and called because it said to call and they would bring it out I got there I called they said do you know that you have to pay and of course I said I paid the first time because I use my credit card when I placed my order on the app long story short I went in to pay and pick up my order which they said would be ready in five or 10 minutes Got in there nobody around the restaurant was empty finally after a minute or so a guy came out and said he wanted to make sure they got what we ordered correct because they had a hard time getting it from door Dash so I turned around and grabbed a bag that had been sitting by the door for almost an hour now the receipts at 12:55 pulled it off the bag and said well why didn’t you get it from there. The guy finally came back out with my order and said he was going to give me the milk free which I wasn’t expecting and didn’t ask for but he didn’t think it was fair that we were taking it out on him when it wasn’t their fault it was DoorDash I didn’t Thur order door Dash And I didn’t hi your door dash to delivered for Bob Evans. So I told the manager if I was a manager and there was a order setting for over 15mins I would have been called someone to see what was going on and I wouldn’t have to have the customer call to ask to have it remade that would only make sense I do have said if you want to come and get it I’ll be happy to remake your order . Now I must say in the long run the young man did to the right thing and give me the order free and finally said he was sorry about I told him he should which I’m sure he wasn’t because he really didn’t feel it was they fault but he did make it right. Come on Bob evans you should do a better job training your people how to handle customers. I will never use their delivery Service again or don’t think I’ll even order them them...
Read moreI have held off writing this review for eleven years. For the first several years we lived in this area, we would routinely order meals for take out, maybe once a month. But the orders were never, I mean NEVER right. It became a running joke between us. You would always have to run back in because they forgot something. After a while we got really sick of it and just decided not to eat there anymore. Stupidly, this past weekend, having something to celebrate, we decided it would be nice to take our boys and eat inside for a treat. Because we have a larger family we made sure we went early before the rush, and the restaurant was less than half full. Now our boys are very young (ages 3,2,and 1) and the easiest and safest way for us to get around with them is to set up our double stroller. Yes, the double stroller is large but it is no larger than a wheelchair with the leg extended. I know this because before I bought it, I wanted to make sure that it would still fit everywhere I wanted to go, and therefore researched and measured. The stroller was designed to fit anywhere that is wheelchair accessible. Are you wheelchair accessible Bob Evans?? One would think not based on the way were treated. The hostess was downright rude and made us feel so bad that we ended up leaving. So much for celebrating. I will never eat there again after the way we were treated. What should have been a fun, exciting memory for me and my sons and husband is now a super frustrating and embarrassing memory. Thanks a lot, Bob Evans. Perhaps, I should just take my kids in and let them run wild, destroying the place as toddlers do. But that would be wrong. Just like shaming a hard working mom and dad for trying to treat their family to...
Read moreSo today after a long weekend away we came here on a Sunday Morning. Naturally being a breakfast place on a Sunday morning when we arrived , there was a wait . No worries , they told us 15 minutes which we were perfectly fine with waiting . There was a shorter female employee who told the younger boy working the host stand to begin telling people that come through the door that there is now a 20-25 minute wait. Then there was a gentleman in front of us that got here before and was eating alone, he was told there was a wait as well. Next an older gentleman walked in and was GREETED, unlike we were… once again no worries. The shorter lady working that greeted him let him know it’s only a 10 minute wait, which I thought was weird . Then the next minute she came back up to him to let him know he’s been requested by a a server and will be seated immediately. Which to our surprise was odd because there was another gentleman that was here way before we were and the guy that walked through door a minute ago … As a individual who has been in the service industry i understand the bond one may have with their regulars but as a person I know the importance of treating everyone equally. It has definitely left a sour taste in our mouth and will have us think twice before visiting this breakfast...
