Kroger is going to be completely phasing out their cashiers by 2025 or so we've been told. They already don't pay their chasiers and baggers enough but corporate has deemed those jobs unecessary expenses and have consequently moved to eliminate them by 2025 via self checkout and a new laneless system brought to you by Amazon Go.
Wal-Mart has also bought into the same laneless system and are also phasing out cashiers by 2030.
For any customer unable to use the Kroger app to checkout in real time as they shop self checkouts will be available until 2035 at which point all customers will need to have the store app installed and running. Much like Amazon's Go stores the store app will be your access token to gain entrance into the store and will communicate in live time to the overhead tracking system in order to know which items you have picked up and placed in your cart.
By the time you are done the transaction will have been completed seemlessly in the background on your phone completely bypassing the need to stand in a...
Read moreLoved it. Great variety of stores and restaurants. Easily seen from main road with plenty of parking. Parking lot was large enough to accommodate a large amount of shoppers on the busiest of days, whole being small enough to allow for a relatively short walk from any parking space to the actual plaza. It was also well lit with security cameras, making me feel less uneasy about leaving my car unattended in a town I know nothing about while I shopped without a care. I also felt safer walking to my car alone at night after closing because all aspects of the parking lot were illuminated and appeared to be visible by at least one or more cameras. All associates at retail locations I dealt with were super nice, attentive, helpful, and all around a delight to have had assisting me with my purchases. Would definitely recommend visiting here, especially Bealls outlet, if you are looking for some good deals on great products!! I know I will be back as...
Read moreKroger does not have enough accessibility parking and there is no excuse for this.by law, according to the Ada if I needed to make a parking place for myself I could do so. Now it would be likely I could be ticketed, but I would win in a court of law! Going to be shooting for this for Georgia legislature, I'll start at the city council level and see how far I get,I'll keep going if it's at all possible because something needs to be done about this. there have been no demographic studies for people with disability and the need to be able to park in front of the doors of a store - no demographic studies since WWI?‼️🤔 That is inexcusable and a disgrace to the United States. It shows exactly how in-tune our government officials are to the reality of the...
