Recently stayed at the hotel as we had an early morning flight out of ATL and without a car we had limited options, except if we called for an Uber.

Since we were tired and had to make a 6:15am flight in the morning we chose to just eat at the hotel. We also had a room rate that gave us a 20% discount on all food purchases at the restaurant during our stay so BONUS!

We chose to eat at the bar as it was closer to Christmas music and we find more often than not the service that you'll have at the bar makes for a better experience. Our bartender Karissa was very attentive and made several suggestions for food options. She recommended the Wings and Farm Burger & Fries but since I don't like fries I had her switch it out for a fresh mixed green salad which was a great choice, highly recommend this option. The wings are deep fried so nice and crispy outside but juicy inside, with a Chili Sauce coating finish. The burgers are made to order and made with fresh never frozen beef, served on a Brioche Bun.

For a hotel restaurant the prices were actually pretty reasonable and in line with any other restaurant that you would find in downtown Atlanta. Highly recommend dining here if you are ever attending a conference...

Server was nice but offered no warm smile. My drink was never refilled through the entire meal to the moment I left. Atmosphere was good and was a very nice place. Menu offered few options. The options it did have were quite pricey. I had the bbq chicken salad but the chicken was tasteless, sauce was heavy and the other ingredients were really light. It was essentially a bowl of salad with a few spoonfuls of roasted corn , chicken, and croutons added. The salad was 18 dollars. I thought I'd maybe give them a second chance with the desert because I was still left hungry with the salad being smaller than I envisioned for the price. The desert was a peach conserve style in a small iron pan with a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top. The peach was overdone and the burnt taste overwhelmed the dish completely. I was surprised when it cost 14 dollars. So after the tip and about 40 dollars spent I'm laying in bed hungry. I would next time consider delivery to the hotel over this. It seems like there are alot of good options...

After a few weeks of looking for places to eat while I’m down here in Atlanta for a business trip, I found Hickory and Hazel with their Tomahawk steak. Once we entered the restaurant which was not crowded at all, we were taken to our table and after about 15 mins, our waitress arrived to take our order. I ordered a Jack and coke with the Tomahawk steak. My coworkers ordered burger and chicken wings for an appetizer. My drink was horrible as they used Pepsi and a bottom shelf whiskey. After 45 minutes waiting we finally received our wings after reminding our waitress. The wings were great but then we waited another 30 mins for our meals to arrive. My steak arrived first and it was a huge disappointment. As the waitress place the platter in front of me, I could smell burnt food. I always eat my steak medium. The Brussels sprouts which were on the platter were completely burnt along with the steak. I am extremely disappointed with their poor service and horrible presentation over all of the food. I do...

This is a fairly standard hotel restaurant connected to the main lobby of the hotel. It is easy walking distance from the Convention Center hotels. Based on the existing reviews, I chose this restaurant over the others nearby. The good news is that the service was excellent. The people were friendly, efficient, and quick. The decor is generic, but just fine. The food itself was mixed. The wine and fries were good, but the blackened chicken sandwich was moderately overcooked and sometimes quite chewy. Tasted fine, though. The prices were high, but as expected for an airport hotel with no competition nearby. Therefore I gave it 4 stars. Not as good as it could be, but mostly as expected. One last point. On this particular Friday night, they had a lobby DJ playing loud somewhat distorted music starting around 7:30pm. Don't go then if you want a quiet meal.

A winner for breakfast and dinner! Generous helpings. Try the deviled eggs with candied bacon. You won’t be disappointed. My husband said the chicken wings were the best he has ever eaten...smoky and tender. They were gigantic. He had them without sauce. The chicken wing appetizer ended up being his meal it was that filling. The shrimp and grits were delicious...plentiful and spicy. We’ve also eaten breakfast here. (The Renaissance is my go to night-before-a-morning-flight hotel.) Highly recomend the country fried steak and eggs. The omelet and egg white frittata have been good choices as well.

I was staying at the Hilton down the street from the exquisite Renaissance Hotel when I walked by this simple, but elegant restaurant. I ordered the shrimp and grits and loved it! The dish was piping hot and included a generous portion of baby shrimp. spicy sausage and perfectly made grits. A saxophone player in the lobby and great waitress made this a memorable experience.
