I used to really Love Andy's... and there are still some things there that I like about it, like the Roger's Bakery Goods and the local, raw honey, but their produce is atrocious. I have gotten rotten strawberries, moldy raspberries, rotten dragon fruit, rock-solid avocados, dried out oranges, and more. The worst thing is that today I bought one of their $2.00 sandwiches for my lunch at work, and I grabbed one of those free mayonnaise packets to put on it. When lunch time came around I opened up the packet and went to spread it on my sandwich but instead of mayonnaise, spotted, rotten oil poured out of the packet instead! I panicked and thought maybe I had grabbed something like an oil/vinegar pouch or something by mistake, but I double-checked. Mayonnaise. It ruined part of my sandwich, but to be honest, I wasn't too upset because I knew I could call and get it fixed. I was more concerned that other people would have the same thing happen. I called them just now to let them know about it and the lady was completely unconcerned, like I was bothering her. When there was a long pause, like she was waiting for me to say goodbye, I finally said "Ooookay..... well.... I guess I just mostly wanted to let you know so you can throw them away and put fresh ones there..." and she sighed and said "Let me call back to the department." I was on hold for a few minutes when she popped back on and said "I'm sorry. My manager says they already went home." and I'm like "...... ummm.. okay.. well I guess I just wanted to let you know....." and she's liked "OKAY, BYE!" CLICK I'm like OH MY GOSH right now!!!... She could have saved losing a customer by even ATTEMPTING an apology! I was really expecting a sandwich replacement, and I made it clear that my sandwich got ruined, but she didn't even acknowledge that fact. But seriously... forget the sandwich. Even acting remotely concerned would have saved her losing me and my whole family. I am really offended and...
Read moreI use to like shopping here & the staff were always friendly & helpful, but over the years it has gone downhill & the staff have become very lazy & rude. I was recently diagnosed with cancer & due to the treatments, I am too weak or in to much pain to walk around & shop for myself so I usually have my teenage kids do my shopping for me. The only issue is that every time they go there they are treated very rudely by the staff & when they ask where an item is that they can't find, the staff instead of helping them are quick to just tell them "we don't carry that any more" or "we're completely out of stock" at first I thought nothing of this but it became an everyday thing & I grew suspicious, so I decided to test it. I sent my kids to the store for a food item while I waited in the parking lot to see if they would come back empty handed, & sure enough they came out & said that the staff told them they were "completely out" so I went in myself & asked for the same item that I had just sent the kids in for & a staff member immediately went into the back & got it for me. This is just pure laziness on the staffs part, because they are kids they figure they don't have to assist them like they would a regular customer. I am sad to say I will not be sending my kids here to shop anymore. It was very convenient as it's only a block away but I'd rather give my money to a store that's going to give the same assistance to a kid as they...
Read moreI love going to this market! I drive over to College Place from Pendleton about once a month just to go here. They are the only store around that carries certain items I can't find elsewhere. The fresh produce is always well stocked and reasonably priced too. The staff is genuinely friendly every time as well. I am warmly greeted every single time I walk though the doors, regardless of how busy the store is. They carry a wide variety of specialty products for vegetarians and vegans, along with local grown meats and bakery items from bakeries in and around Walla Walla. You simply must try the grind-yourself fresh almond and pecan butters. They are all natural and taste so good!! The downside, if there is one, is that I would like to see them start to carry more products for people that need sugar free or low sugar and low sodium foods. However it is a smaller market, though there is also another one in Walla Walla, so space is limited. I, personally, will continue to be a loyal customer and fan and will continue to make the 100 mile monthly round trip to this market for a long...
