I ordered a pair shoes a few weeks ago, and the girl who did my order was super sweet and efficient. That is as far as good as I can say for them. Fast forward Sunday the 4th, I received a voicemail from Dillards saying my order was ready and to pick up. I called back and told an associate I couldn’t come in until Friday morning because I work 12 hour shifts. She said she would note that. This morning (that friday) I go to pickup and it’s not there. I play the voicemail and the associate at customer service told me my order was cancelled since it had not been picked up. I proceed to tell her everything and she apologized and went to get her manager (Melissa) since she didn’t know what happened with my order. She told me they had come in on the 25th and after 10 days orders are cancelled. I reiterate that the voicemail (that she already listened to before) did not state anything about that nor did the associate who answered my return phone call that same day. She could only apologize but really couldn’t offer a tangible explanation. She then told me it would be 5-10 days before I was refunded, and if I wanted I could buy the shoes again and I stated I would be out double the money then until I get my maybe refund, and the whole reason I had to order was because they didn’t carry my size... if the 4th was supposedly the last day and they were cancelled it has already been 5 days past so we will see what the next 3 days bring. But yeah, don’t waste your time if you actually want your product or actual solutions to your problems lol. I’d also like to note Melissa the manager didn’t once come out of the back to apologize or offer a solution. She let the associate deal with it by herself...
Read moreI made an account just to post this… yesterday, while taking my daughter to get some clothes and a dress for her sweet 16, one of the workers was walking up and down, up and down, and up and down the aisle watching us. She would sometimes stop and stare at us from the aisle, just waiting. She kept asking us if we were ready to check out. I felt like I was being stalked. The fitting rooms in the area with my daughter’s sizes for the regular clothes was a mess, she is a size 14. There were many rooms, but each had piles of hangers and clothes on the ground. I ended up leaving because she came to ask us to check out again practically the moment we left the fitting room. I took my daughter to the dresses section instead to change in the fitting room there. I don’t know why she would spend so much time harassing us instead of cleaning up the area. I didn’t catch her name because I couldn’t see her name tag, but she was short with curly/wavy black hair, and was wearing a black suit. None of the clothes ended up working out. There was another lady with the brown hair helped us find a dress that we liked, but while we were talking to her about the dress, the same lady from earlier interrupted and came to ask us if we were ready to check out again. We ended up leaving the dress because of it. Management needs to do something about this employee, because this is harassment. It may or may not have been because of my race, but she was doing it to a fair amount of people. I will order that dress online instead, because I honestly did not feel safe there with my daughter. I will not be coming here again....
Read moreWent in with specific items I needed to purchase. None of the attendants in the shoe department said hello or offered to help. I actually couldn't even get their attention and not because they were with a customer. One of them was just walking around trying not to make eye contact.
Needed an item from the makeup department, although better than the last department, minimal help from sales associates. I had questions but they seemed too busy to help despite being the only customer there. I literally walked 10 ft away after unceremoniously being told no we don't have that and zero attempt to make a sale, when another woman walked in and both associates jumped up and welcomed her with smiles. Interpret that as you want. The store in general looked a mess, I have never been to such a disorganized and messy Dillard's in my life. Will not be returning, there are specialized retailers in town with customer service for all. If not, online ordering has better...
