Pet Grooming review--0 STAR REVIEW! Sadly I have ONLY NEGATIVE things to say about our 1st and LAST grooming experience here. The service, grooming, care, and charges were all the absolute worst we've had in decades of grooming our dogs. We have been getting our puppy groomed monthly, but it's expensive so i thought i could go here save a few dollars. It cost me 150% more, they refused to cut the dog the way i requested, and held her there 7 hours. First they said she was too matted for them to give her the haircut I requested, and gave me a guilt trip about the brush i use to brush her out each morning. I find it interesting that the people i took her to the previous 11 months never said those things. I asked for them to leave on an inch of hair, but they wanted to shave her to the 2nd lowest height. I should have followed my gut and walked out the door right then. It felt like they either do not know how or do not care to do work on dogs with longer hair. You can see the after picture of her last groom with the previous business, and the after picture of her with PetSmart cut. The look on my husband's face says it all. His first response was I hope she does not get sunburned. Do these groomers know that Golden Doodles need more hair on them to insulate from heat and prevent sunburns? Now we are going to have to curtail her summer activities. The other dog owner who was picking up her 11 year old Australian Shepherd, said she was surprised by how short her dog's hair was and said her dog had never been trimmed that close before. Also our dog's eyes and face did not look cleaned. And the toenails on her right front paws were not trimmed. I would rather take her somewhere else and pay to get that fixed, then have it reperformed correctly for free at PetSmart. We are never going back here just based on the quality of the grooming, but there is more. We told them that she was not kennel trained and said she might have a problem. They assured me that she awould be OK and i could get her in 3-4 hours. That seems like a long time, but after the berating they gave me i said ok. Four hours later they called me and said they needed another three hours. She was in there for over 7 hours. This was unacceptable. Our previous grooming company typically had her out in 1 to 2 hours. They advertised a $76 price for a bath and haircut, that also included ears, nails, and glands. And they advertised 10% off on Tuesdays for Senior Citizens. And there was a sign on the door that said it was 20% off for the dog's first grooming. When I asked about the 20% percent off the groomer said "well I don't know about that." I told her it is on the sign at eye level on the door when you walk into their grooming area, but they did not give me that discount. They did charge me several additional items that was never discussed when i dropped off the dog. They charged me an added $36 to shave the dog, which I did not want but apparently how they gave her a haircut. They charged a $36 brush out fee which, even they said, should not have been on the bill. They charged for the shampoo, I think was $9 however since they did not let me hold or give me a copy of their charge sheet I'm recalling it from the glance i had. There were other line items added that we never talked about, but again, i didn't get a copy of the bill break down. After the senior discount, it cost $137, And that was after they took off the extra fee to brush out the dog who had nothing to brush out. The service was slow, another groomer kept looking at the charges on her computer when I was reminding her of the pricing, and she had to go talk to her supervisor, and then again at the cash register. At the check out the supervisor came out to explain the bill. For decades I've experienced an immediate happy reunion with my groomed dogs and then i pay the bill. Now I know why they will not give you your dog until after you pay at the cash register--I'll bet some customers are so taken aback they don't want to pay. This place is EVIL. They should not be in business. These people have no care or a heart for pets and animals.

on 11/18/2018 (Sunday), I found a female Pitbull around 5pm at Calvert TX. She was running across the the State Highway. She was an abused pitbull whose caretaker had clearly abuse her and kept her in deplorable condition, I almost ran her over as she was running across the highway. I stopped and found a Cable tv wire wrapped around her neck, She had bite marks from other dogs. She was scared, but she was very gentle and docile. I spoke to some locals there and they told me that I should save her and rescue her from the abusive owner, who was a abusive breeder around there. So I took her in my car and drove away.

I Googled the nearest PetSmart and found this one in College Station. I wanted to get her shown to someone who worked their, get some feedback, buy her food and and meds.

I arrived at the PetSmart and 6:02pm. The girl at the door will not let me in. I asked for help and suggestion and told her what happened. She refused help. I was in Despair! The Girl who worked there was named Eli. I asked Eli to talk to her manager, but the manager refused to even talk or assist.

The manager's name for the PetSmart is MATT. He should be fired and never be offered a job in the ANimal care industry. PetSmart should be sued and Boycotted - At least I am going to BoyCott them for good!

How can Matt being the manager of a major Pet store be so cold at heart.and have no compassion for an animal that was just rescued from the mouth of death an Hour ago!?

Shame on Petsmart! Shame on Matt! - I am going to take this matter up to the highest order from Petsmart. I have adopted the dog now and decided to keep her as she is one of the sweetest dogs ever.

Absolutely horrible experience with the grooming. Our dog was dropped on 9/1 at 3pm for a grooming and haircut. The lady at the desk verified my wife's cell number before she left. His haircuts usually take around 3 to 3.5 hours. When they hadn't called or texted by 6 my wife attempted to call the store to find out that the store had closed. She looked at the app and the bill showed that they added $40 to the bill for boarding and some other fee She went up to the store but no one was there, no after hours phone number, nada.

Found out that the groomers opened up at 8am so she made arrangements to be there early to pick up the dog. Rang the bell that is supposed to notify the groomers that someone was there for a out 10 minutes, no answer. She was finally let in by an employee who was arriving for work.

She made it into the grooming center to get our dog and there were 2 employees on the computers. One seemed new and the other one had an attitude with her. Our dog was brought out, the haircut was good, and she attempted to pay. The employee with the attitude was complaining about her computer running slow and taking a long time trying to figure out what to do. My wife attempted to then pay via the app and that didn't work either. To be honest, we have always had issues with the app from scheduling being wrong between the store and the app. The employees could not figure out how my wife could pay for the grooming.

My wife finally gave up and left, I assumed that they would call and try to figure out the billing. Nope, nothing yet.

The employees might be great with the animals but their customer service and interactions with humans leave a lot to be desired. We will not be back, except to settle the...
