Postoak Florist — Local services in College Station

I can’t say enough about this wonderful and amazing florist. My son’s best friend who just graduated from Texas A&M had been rushed to the hospital in College Station and admitted a few days ago. Today…on a Saturday afternoon…. I was “hopelessly” calling florists in College Station to see if any of them could deliver an arrangement that afternoon to the hospital. I was met consistently by “no’s” until I called Postoak Florist and Debbie picked up the phone. She told me that they were closing in four minutes at 1PM but proceeded to ask me about the situation and what I needed. When I told her the story about what had happened, without hesitation she said she would get an arrangement together and deliver it to the hospital on her way home (which I know was out of her way.) Within an hour she delivered a stunning arrangement to the hospital and the nurse’s station on his floor. She also called me after she delivered the arrangement to let me know! My fiance and I visited Post Oak Florist today to briefly talk about flowers for our wedding. When we entered the store it seemed like there was no one working there and only customers, because no one paid us any attention. They only glanced at us briefly. After a few minutes one lady very rudely greeted us after I glanced at her. She basically asked what we were doing there and I responded that we were wondering about flowers for our wedding and she just said "you need an appointment with her". Then, another lady proceeded to give me a stack of bridal magazines, mumbled something about a wedding rehearsal and being busy then shoo-ed us out the door. Not only thing, but there was one older lady in the back room constantly staring and my fiance and I, not breaking eye-contact. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience, and if further experiences will be this way, there is no reason why they should even be in business, as customer service should be a priority. My experience at PostOak florist was amazing! I ordered a arrangement from another florist locally in town and was highly disappointed with what I was given at time of pick up. I frantically sat in the parking lot of that florist looking for other florist in town because I was to embarrassed to give my mother the arrangement for Mother’s Day. I found PostOak florist and called immediately. They said that they had arrangements in the fridge that were ready for pickup. Once I got there, they let me know that if there was an arrangement in the refrigerator I liked, they could add anything to it and even change the vase if I wanted to.They made the arrangement just like I wanted it and also was able to use flowers from the other arrangement I picked up earlier from a different florist so everything wasn’t completely wasted.
