I always get there when the pharmacy is closed so i usually shop while I wait for lunch beeak to end. Friday I go in and there is a customer doing multiple purchases of cigarettes and cigarette related products. Customer sees me and says to go ahead since only had two items. Elderly cashier says that she cannot do that and they must finish processing the transaction. Several other customers show up which prompts cashier to say that she sees three which brings up a backup cashier. This location would benefit from having an automated checkout option. Cashier could have easily processed my order and not had a line. Or at least seen that a line was forming due to one customer doing multiple transactions and called for backup ahead of time. Not rude service but an unnecessary wait that could have been prevented. Didn't seem to bother the cashier that I was having to wait. I agree with other comments here. The store is old and could be modernized with a self checkout option. I use this location because it is really close to my house. I continue to shop there despite situations described in this review. It would be nice to see Walgreens make some changes to...
Read moreI went today because I had an appointment for flu covid testing my appt was scheduled for 6pm. I got to the store at 545 pm nobody acknowledged me at the pharmacy and the front desk person pass a lot of people without acknowledging me for my appt. I approach and spoke to the lady at the drive thru she was very rude I told her that I have been sitting and waiting and she left me talking and turn her back on me and told me that I needed to check in with the cashier. Didn’t let me explain that I scan the QRC barcode and that I was already check in. Other people came in after me for flu vaccines and they were acknowledge and helped. The pharmacist was calling other people meanwhile I waited for 25 minutes and I came in before anybody that was there and I had an appointment. I was sick feeling terrible with headache and I left this place and went to outpatient clinic.I will never come back to this Walgreens and I do not recommend it to anyone the service was terrible and the person attending the drive thru was rude, the cashier didn’t know what she was doing and the pharmacist was not even helping the people that had...
Read moreThis Walgreen has gone down hill for past 3-4 yrs. High turnover rate among both pharmacy and non-pharmacy employees. Was on hold on phone about an hour, then disconnect. Called back, 2 ppl ahead of me, waited another 45-1 hour, finally gave up. Too many problems to list here.
Among latest issues is pharmacist (think from Jamaica with her accent etc.) did not give me correct quantity of meds - suppose to be 60, got 30......called back immediately and she said come back and she'll give me the rest. Seems like a new pharmacist every time I go - 4-5 times month.
Think one problem is lotta ppl moved here from Houston after hurricane Katrina - some scary characters. Now I only go thru drive-thru to get my meds......stopped going in to shop, which I did 2-3 times week....too many unsavory characters, Also always out of milk I wanted....Talked to manager several times, said he'd fix it.....never did........Found the milk at CVS on Texas Ave, always in stock. CVS Rock Prairie is even worse than Walgreen Rock Prairie -...
