So I called the pet pub to schedule an appointment for my dog. When the person picked up the phone, she asked me, what kind of haircut would I want for my dog? I told them that I wanted a haircut in a wash and she said, okay, that's fine. Then when I ask for a a particular person on their staff that cut my dog's hair before perfectly in the way that we wanted it cut, she told me that that person was no longer with there staff So I said, okay, that's fine. Disappointed in all, I still wanted to get my dog's haircut. She then proceeded to tell me that she had no appointments until august, and then she then proceeded to tell me that they weren't accepting new customers now because she had people going out on leave.... If you had people going out on leave and wasn't accepting new customers, why would you ask me, what kind of haircut would I want for my dog?🤔🤔🤔🤔 to me it seems like you didn't want to cut my dog's hair because I asked for a particular person who cut my dog before...... Then I asked her who's the best person who can cut a golden doodle hair? And she told me all of them because a golden doodle's hair is easy to cut, which is not true because I've had his haircut before and it was completely butchered . So it's obviously not that easy . Then she stated that she wasn't taking new customers.i've been there before, but I haven't been there in two years. So how am I a new client? If my name and everything is in the system..... I'm completely upset at the whole process. I really wanted to take my dog here because when I took my dog to petsmart, they completely butchered his hair every time and now that I'm back in the State College area, I wanted to take my dog to the pet pub and apparently because I asked for somebody that's not there that they possibly had a problem with They have no availability, or They're not taking new clients now.....smh....oh and then she put me on a waiting list so...
Read moreI rescued my cat, Mighty Jo (her first momma named her, but she died of cancer) from a bad situation on a farm and managed to find out from someone who knew about her former life who her vet was. I took her in and found out that she was already 12 years old! She needed her claws clipped and her ears cleaned. They said she was really spicy and had to be sedated to do it, so it would cost $25 for the grooming, $25 for the sedation, and they had to charge $50 for an office visit because a vet had to be involved with the kids sedation. $100 for claws clipped and ears cleaned!. I'm a senior living on a small fixed income so I couldn't get it done very often and I felt horrible for her. COVID hits and the vet starts referring people to The Pet Pub for grooming services. I didn't know of them and called to make an appointment. She was seen by Jamie, and I warned her about what the vet said. She thanked me and took Jo into a back room. They come out not 10.minutes later and Jamie said she was fine, didn't give her any trouble, and they charged right around the $25 the vet charged - I think it was even a little less!! I can't even tell you how thrilled and relieved I was. Now Jo gets to go pretty regularly and I feel like I'm closer to giving her her best life. Thank you, Jamie, you're the best and we love you!. Everyone I've come in contact with at the Pet Pub is friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and doesn't mind taking time to answer questions or give suggestions. I can't recommend...
Read moreFyi ... Never actually got to the actual grooming experience. This review is only in regards to their customer service.
Umm... So here's my experience so far...
I scheduled the appointment online, it was accepted, but when I clicked the link in my email to the "add to Google calendar" on the email, it added it incorrectly and I ALMOST didn't see it. Whew, relief I caught it! Lol
Then they texted me to say I have to pay a $30 deposit- which I never saw before this point. By phone no less. 🤦🏻♀️Which I actually chose their organization because I DIDN'T have to call. I am a millennial and avoid phones except for calling my mom. 😂
Then another text to say they have to change the appointment time because their calendar apparently has issues and the time I requested is unavailable.
Since my own schedule needs to be precise and exact, and I don't want to lose my $30 deposit for a calendar glitch on their end, AND since I had to call someone anyway, I used the phone and called another groomer and made an appointment without a deposit being required. Which seems normal.
Felt others should know what they are getting into when they click "book an...
