Like many thrift stores nowadays, Goodwill's prices have become a little too high, I've been noticing a trend of too high to just plain ridiculous. Today I found a set of 7 salad plates , 7 plates for $6.99, no great bargain, but even worse on the back was a tag of 7 plates for $5 from whoever donated these. So someone tried to sell them for $5, couldn't, and Goodwill added on $2 ? I saw 5x7 picture frames for $9.99 and a plastic butter dish that had seen better days for $3.99. I left buying nothing, went to nearby Marshalls and found a heavy glass and much nicer butter dish for $4.99 and saw plenty of picture frames way less than $9.99. Does whoever prices items for this Goodwill ever wander into any of the nearby discount stores ? They can use the "we're a charity" excuse all they want but it's just greed. I know I am not alone in feeling this, and currently online I have seen a push for people to stop donating to Goodwill. I know I no longer do. It makes no sense that regular stores who have to buy their merchandise and most likely pay better wages to their employees are way cheaper than Goodwill. Update. This store has actually gotten worse. One of the most over-priced Goodwills around, but they use to at least have 75% off sales. They got rid of that and the frequent shoppers card. Had just left a thrift store where I bought 8 items for less than $20, in this Goodwill I spent Zero. I overhead 2 women looking at plates and every plate they were interested in was $6. Then I heard "That's not worth $6" and they put it back. $6 for a plate ? This was one of 2 Goodwills I went to today and they got none of my...

Read moreI wish i could give ZERO stars!!!!! I’ve been a frequent shopper at this Goodwill location, but I’m starting to rethink my visits due to the consistently poor treatment from the manager itself . On my most recent trip, I found a pair of shoes I was interested in, and I know the price for shoes at this store is usually $7.99. However, when I brought them up to the register, the manager said they were $9.99, despite there being no indication anywhere in the store of a price change.
The second issue was even more uncomfortable. When I went to the register to check out, she rudely told me to move my items closer to her if I wanted her to ring them up and bag them. I’ve never been treated this way at a store before, and it made my shopping experience very unpleasant. I understand the need for efficiency, but the lack of courtesy was uncalled for.
The final incident was even more unsettling. I went to the dressing room, and when I came out, the manager said something to me in Spanish. I responded that I didn’t understand because I don’t speak Spanish, and she just dismissed me. It made me feel uncomfortable, and honestly, it felt like I was being profiled—perhaps because I may look Hispanic. It was an unnecessary and uncalled-for interaction.
I hope management addresses this behavior because it’s really affecting my willingness to continue...
