EDIT* This has been our second appt since this review, the last appt my daughter was welcomed in like a normal person and it was nice- the ladies made her feel welcome, not Shell or his wife- the office manager. Today my daughter went in and Tony was standing there clearing her throat to get the attention of the lady that was going to be working on my daughter's teeth to pull the mask out for her... You could cut the tension with a knife my daughter said. This is uncalled for and the Office Manager Tony is Toxic to this work place for their employees and some patients, like my daughter. Be careful for the reviews you are reading on FB, they are not real, she post these to make them have a 5 star rating!!

The actual staff is Absolutely Amazing!! However, the office manager Toni & Dr. Shell do not have good work ethic. Toni does Not care about the patients or families. Toni kept talking over me on the phone, she did not care what concerns I had. We have been with them for quite a few years now and the owners are not the same at all from what they were when we initially started with them. My daughter had an appt set for today from the last appt she had and bc I threatened to leave, they chose not to do anything with her, instead of telling us this, they let us drive up there then decided this once we were there. I had a feeling the office manager would do this. This is upsetting as I have paid in full, their obligation to fulfill their commitment is lacking. My orthodontic journey started just over 5.5 yrs. ago and has officially ended. Dr. Shell was assigned to my case shortly before Dr. Pond retired. I have come to know Dr. Shell very well and understand that my case was extremely challenging. My situation tested all our patience. Dr. Shell and his team of professional staff have been top notch. The level of knowledge, skill and chair-side manner at this practice is especially noteworthy and I’m not sure any practice could reach this level. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure what to expect at the end of my orthodontic journey. Now, when I look in the mirror, I see a confident smile that I hid for many years. I no longer have physical symptoms from years of uneven wearing, bite issues and many other issues that I ignored for years. This team of professionals deserve the highest recommendation and while I won’t miss the journey itself, I will miss some of these folks that I now consider friends. Thanks you so much Southside...

Dr. Shell's team has been completely wonderful - from the front desk, the office staff, dental hygienists and Dr Shell himself. The customer service has been leaps and bounds beyond any other business I have experienced. This sets them apart from the other orthodontists I consulted with before deciding to go with them. The care of my child and thinking about what's best overall has been their focus from the very beginning and throughout the entire process. They have been very accommodating and flexible with visits and any issues my child had with Invisalign. Whenever I have contacted them, I get a response from the office the same day, oftentimes within an hour or two. They have taken many precautions with respect to COVID to ensure our safety as patients and their safety as well.
