I love subway. I worked there for two years. I'm obsessed with the Italian hero with chicken and BBQ sauce. Highly recommend. The people who work here, are nice. The man in the green shirt, bald, he is very busy but fun to converse with. But since he is so busy, he is kind of in a rush. But the lady who always makes my sandwich, always charges me for the wrong one.
My first time there, it was with baldy (love that guy) he made me a good sandwich. Only down side was, not BBQ sauce at that store. Aw well. So four start experience that time. Second time, not as good. I worked at subway, so I know what you can and cannot do. I asked if I can get a chicken teriyaki, with out teriyaki sauce(I hate teriyaki) and instead just get the regular stripS. It was also Monday so it was 6 dollars for the footlong. They come from the same exact bag. So I asked and the employee told me it would be fine. But when I got to the register, the one lady(the one who ruins all my experiences there) charged me full price because I didn't add teriyaki sauce! The heck? So I paid 12 for a sandwich that was suppose to be 7... I guess I could have been more specific and not try to bend the rules. Thus third and last time, I wanted a spicy Italian with chicken breast. $6 for the footlong and only 3 dollars to add the chicken. So 9 dollars and I only had a 10 dollar gift card from my mom.(gotta love moms). So I get the sandwich, and I go to the register, and the same woman as last time! Charged me 12 dollars for it! I was angered. I asked for a spicy Italian with chicken. Not a chicken with salami and pepperoni! Goodness... So I used the gift card and the last of my spending money for the rest of week to get a sandwich that wasn't even how I like it made. BECAUSE NO...
Read moreLost a long time customer! You have to watch them every time you order here. My son ordered a roasted chicken sub and the lady asked what kind of bread? Then asked toasted? Then what type of chese? Then she said Bacon? And then finally asked what else (lettuce, tomato, and mayo) he wanted. When we checked out it was $9.19 for a $6.75 sub that was $5 footlong not too long ago. When I questioned the guy of the price he tried to belittle me by saying that it's clearly stated on the board that they charge $1.50 for bacon. $1.50 for 2 withered pieces of bacon??? You can keep it! But my argument was, she shouldn't have asked in the same manner as she did with the "included" cheese, toasting and toppings.
A few months back I ordered 3 breakfast combos which were about $3.50 for a 6" and a drink. When she rung me up she said "do you want drinks?" And I said " nah, we have drinks at home" trying to be nice and save them a little... When I went to pay, it a good thing I payed attention because she charged me almost $20! I said why is it so much and her reply was " you didn't get the drinks and that's not a combo so the sandwiches are $6 by themselves." !!!!! Seriously? ? ? So I said give me the drinks then. And the price was $13.xx
All I'm saying is if these people are so greedy that they are willing to cheat and mislead their customers, who knows what they are doing behind closed doors??? I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped food on the floor or if something is out dated, they would still use it because obviously their first priority is NOT...
Read moreOrdered my sub on the app, just like I always do, and selected a bottled pepsi. When I came in to pick up my order, I went to get my drink out of the refrigerator, like I always do, and the older lady behind the counter started fussing at me, "No sir!" and slams a cup down on the counter at me, "you get a cup!" When I tried to explain that I ordered a bottled drink, she cut me off, tapped the cup on the counter several times and said bottles don't come with the combo.
According to the app, they do. You have to scroll down on the app to get to the bottled drinks and I ALWAYS do that because I dislike the taste of their fountain sodas.
There are plenty of other sandwich shops in Colonial Heights. I'll be going elsewhere...
