My first time ordering here was today - I ordered takeout - as expected, everyone was wearing a mask and they have a counter guard up. It was pretty busy in there! (Not crowded, just mean many people ordering) The other patrons kept a respectful safe distance while ordering too.
I ordered the house mei fun - this is my favorite takeout dish (sometimes I like to order Singapore, which is a yellow curried noodle, same dish) Whenever I order house special mei fun, I always ask if they will use lots of chili or chili oil if they have it, and make it spicy. And I am really asking for spicy, but a lot of times at places, I get a wide variety of mild to barely more than mild.
Well I was VERY happy and delighted when I tasted my noodles to find that they were cooked with generous amount of chili and are nicely spicy, like I like. So, for that alone I will be back :)
I have left this at 4 stars because there were only two folks working, so the wait to order was a tad longer than most people probably prefer. Iâm patient and I didnât mind (it wasnât excessive, just around six or seven minutes)
I say try them out :) they make a mean...
Read moreSo so.. Egg rolls and fried dumplings were good. Chicken Low Mein was bland, chicken fried rice was bland. General Tso's chicken is really sweet and sour chicken. It has the orange sauce rather than the thick brown sauce General's usually has. But.... It was pretty good. The thing is... General Tso's costs $11.75. When I picked up there was a sign "Today's Special General Tso's $8.95". When I asked about it she said that was a half size order. So either I got played or anyone getting "The Special" gets played. If it is a half size order it isn't really a special, is it? And should cost half of the full cost ($5.50 or so) Also, I asked for some hot pepper oil and they charge $2 for a container the size of egg drop soup! I could not use that much hot pepper oil if I ate Chinese every night for a month. But they won't give you a tiny cup of it. It's just weird. In 50 years I've never been to a Chinese place that wouldn't give a little bit of...
Read moreI ordered bourbon chicken and shrimp fried rice. Shrimp fried rice was excellent alone but that bourbon chicken taste like diabetes. This is my second time getting food from here. The first time I ordered fried chicken and shrimp fried rice and the chicken was over cooked. They have the shrimp fried rice down pack this is why they got two stars. The bourbon chicken was cooked well but they couldâve kept the sauce to themselves it was just too sweet. I tried to add salt and pepper but at this point Iâm going to add water because the taste is like a sugar cane with honey on top. The building is very clean and the customer service is excellent but the food is never right. I can if I go back and complain they most likely will replace the meal. Iâm unhappy...
