Are they purposely losing the good workers and keeping the lousy ones?! They'll have a good worker for a month, maybe. They bragged about getting rid of the "problematic employees," but that's false. In fact, I think the good two ones they've had in a year have, understandably, quit. The one or two that are still there is obviously carrying the weight. We come here at least twice a month. It used to be a lot more often when we had kids in the house. The staff was always informable and pleasant! The staff now is for the pits! They are rude, dismissive, and outright terrible at their jobs. You're in line FOREVER. The staff must be on pot or something. It's such a waste of time! And don't ask anyone for any advice. They're guessing, and their crap guess-ers During the holidays!! Oh, boy! Don't even bother. One minute, they are taking orders. The next, you aren't. Both times, no one on payroll knows what the heck anyone is talking about. Which means the food you ordered and drove out there to pick up is not there, and they don't have it all. Let's start from the top: the manager is a joke! She is always bad mouthing someone directly in front of customers! Whether it be someone who works there or completely personal. But it's always loud and obnoxious. What the hell does "I ain't like other white folk" mean?! Don't bother asking her to resolve anything. She has a toxic attitude to go along with her slander. They used to have CeCe for a few years. I haven't seen her. However, to be fair, these are all issues that have been ongoing for 5+ years. The rest of the staff are always sitting behind the counter, making a fool of themselves and a mockery out of the business. I once saw one of the girls grab her bumhole and scream, "I have poopy!" Then when she got out she grabbed the front and said "All better!" The girls are always bickering with one another! Nothing nice or decent to bring to work. From their image to their personalities. Tacky and ignorant! The meat is never sorted by date. The meat often tastes like it's been left out too long and gotten warm. The floors are disgusting. I never see anyone from the butcher wash their hands. I can only imagine the kitchen. And there has been several incidents of hair in the prepared foods. (This is still a small community. We all talk) I saw, I'm fairly certain, one of the 3rd party sellers use the bathroom and not wash her hands. The one that looks like the neighborhood grandma. Very sweet. Maybe she just forgot. Still. Yuck. I get the owner is getting old, but I don't see how that should affect his ability to keep good work or, at the very least, avoid keeping the bad ones. I will start looking for another local butcher!! I don't believe that all the meat is truly...
Read moreNot quite sure what happened today at this place. Because I've been coming here since they opened and haven't had an issue other than their high prices on some items. Having said that I still shop there. I primarily buy the hot soup that is ready daily. I have noticed recently that the recipes have changed or been rushed to serve. They put out 3 straight soups in a row with uncooked beans over spiced peppers without labeling it. And then finally cheese and broccoli soup that was just broth and broccoli soup. I returned It asked humbly for a refund and was refused. I will say that I didn't have the receipt but I had just purchased it 15 minutes prior. I didn't need cash back. I just needed something done about it. Not ont manager jumped in. There was not one thing offered to me. Not more soup not a thing. I was only given an excuse that the same cook makes the soup. The amount of business this company does with my family. I feel as though they should take care of something so petty. It blows me away that they can't keep their customers happy with a solution to something that costs them penny's. You have lost my families and my weekly business. Word travels fast as well. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER...

Prices: I think they’re fair. Setting steak/ meat aside, here’s what I paid yesterday. -12 large & quality eggs. $7.60 Russets (if I remember correctly). $1.35/ lb Quality bacon. $7.60 / lb Prices above reflect a 5% military discount which I appreciated. Won’t apply to everyone but you get the idea. Pretty fair when compared to KS or Safeway in my view.
Customer service: getting better. Yesterday I asked a few questions and received a prompt reply. Employees were engaged and rendered reasonable service. As others have noted, customer service was truly awful in the not so distant past. I stopped visiting the store actually for a while. To be fair, management mentioned in a recent post that they had recently parted ways with some problematic employees. While I recognize I am formulating a new & more positive view off one visit, things seemed to be running smoothly yesterday.
I think 4 stars is fair for now. If I continue to see good customer service and fair prices, I will upgrade to 5. If customer service declines again (I certainly hope that doesn’t happen) I will also amend appropriately and not return.
Overall opinion, keep an open mind and give...
