Is this the best place for comfort food? The Omelette Parlor has been one of our go-to breakfast spots for years, and they’ve been operating since 1993. The building itself has history dating back to the late 1920’s. They’re only open for breakfast and lunch, and on Mondays, kids eats free with an adult purchased meal. I love that they fresh squeeze their orange juice, and have thick cut bacon. Comment below if you’ve been & where I should go next, and give a like and follow! #coloradospringsfoodie #coloradosprings #diner #breakfast #comfortfood

OH EM GEE! This Place Had Been On My "Want To Go" List For Eons & I Was Finally Presented With The Opportunity To Go. Although It's Somewhat Tailored For A Slightly Older Crowd, Anyone Can Enjoy Breakfast Or Lunch From 6am-2pm On Most Day Of The Week. Let Me Tell You, When I Say You Have Options, You Have OPTIONS. Although Named The Omelette Parlor, They Have Many Other Dishes. Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, You Name It. I Went With The Classic Denver Omelette With My Own Little Twist, Which, At No Surprise, Included Avocado. Mmm. Eggs Were Fluffy, Not Flat, & The Food Was Seasoned Well. You Can Tell Everything Was FRESH Down To The Last Green Diced Tomato. I Wanted To Try Their Pork Green Chili, Which Is Gluten-Free For Those With That BS Allergy, Lol. It Was DEVINE. I Swear I Would've Been Okay Ordering A Bowl Of It, But I Wanted To Smother My Omelette With It. Great Idea. They Spiced It Just Right So Anyone Could Enjoy It. The Pork Was Tender & The Flavors Were Like Fireworks In My Mouth. NOM NOM NOM. I WILL Be Returning, With My Young Crowd Of Friends & Keep This Place Voted For The Best Breakfast For Another 25+ Years.

I WENT TO THE OMELETTE PARLOR TODAY FOR THE VERY FIRST AND LAST TIME. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL THE BOOTHS WERE TOO SMALL WITH NOT ENOUGH ROOM BETWEEN THE SEATS AND THE TABLE THAT IT WAS HARD TO EVEN GET INTO THE BOOTH. AS FAR AS THE SERVICE WAS CONCERNED I HAVE RECEIVED BETTER FRO A McDONALD'S DRIVE THRU. THE WAITRESS WAS NOT THE BEST I HAVE HAD SHE WANTED TO KNOW WHO HAD GIVEN ME THE ADDITIONAL NAPKINS THAT WERE PRESENT SHE SAID THAT IT WAS AGAINST POLICY THAT I HAD BEEN GIVEN SO MANY NAPKINS SO THAT SHE HAVE A TALK WITH HER WHEN I INFORMED HER THAT I HAD GOTTEN THEM MYSELF SHE TOOK A DEEP BREATHE AND WALKED AWAY. UPON SITTING DOWN MY DAUGHTER REALIZED THAT THE KNIFE THAT WAS PLACED ON THE TABLE WAS DIRTY. AS WE SET THERE WAITING FOR OUR FOOD TO ARRIVE I WITNESSED A GENTLEMAN COME OUT OF THE KITCHEN WITH A CONTAINER OF SILVERWARE OF WHICH HE WAS RESTOCKING THE TRAY THAT WAS USED FOR THE TABLES. I WATCHED HIM TAKE THE SILVERWARE OUT OF ONE CONTAINER AND PUT THEM INTO THE TRAYS WITHOUT WEARING ANY TYPE OF GLOVE AS HE HANDLED THE SILVERWARE BOTH BY THE HANDLE AND THE EATING SURFACES, WHEN THE FOOD ARRIVED I EXPERIENCED THE PLEASURE OF EATING COLD EGGS, BACON, SAUSAGE AND FRENCH TOAST. THE CONTAINER OF BUTTER WAS HAPHAZARDLY THROWN ON THE PLATE WITH BUTTER ALL OVERT THE OUTSIDE OF THE CONTAINER AND ALL OVER THE PLATE. THE BEST PART OF MY VISIT TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT WAS WHEN WE GOT INTO OUR VEHICLE AND PULLED OFF OF THE PROPERTY WITH THE PROMISE TO NEVER RETURN. I PAID $31.00 FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO EAT COLD FOOD AND LOUSY SERVICE. I WAS NOT EVEN OFFERED A STRAW FOR MY GLASS OF WATER. I WAS ALSO NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE SIGN IN THE BOOTH THAT SAID PLEASE LIMIT YOUR TIME TO 1.5 HOURS AS THERE WAS ONE TABLE BEHIND US THAT THE OCCUPANTS WERE THERE BEFORE US AND WERE STILL THERE...

I flew in late last night thinking about omelette parlor this morning. I was highly disappointed for the very first time coming to this place. The hostess was really sweet. She said I said our table and our server showed up with really nasty black latex gloves like she had been cleaning tables to get our coffee and our menus after she took our order. I substituted a biscuit for an English muffin. When I reminded her as the food was delivered she just reached on my plate with her bare hands and grab the English muffin and didn't say a word. The waitress looked really dirty and high. I asked another server if it was normal to grab food off of people's plates in The Omelette parlor. She went and got the manager for me. As a manager came out she wanted to see what was wrong. She just wanted to assure me that they didn't reuse the English muffins after they were on someone's plate. I was more concerned about the dirty waitress grabbing food off of my plate personally. The manager stopped me short with a nasty attitude and said I got it ma'am I'll talk to her. I was quiet about the issue and just hoped to have a great breakfast this morning. Instead I'm going to go somewhere else and find some food that's not going to turn my stomach later after I get my appetite back. It seems after covid that the type of service that we get when we go out to eat at some of our favorite places has changed. I think that the server could have just been told not to ever do that again quietly and the manager could have been a lot nicer about it instead of us being treated horrible because we did not like the fact that she grabbed food off of a plate on our table in front of us without saying a word and kept on moving with her dirty hands and still expected us to eat...

First, I just want to say the food here is awesome! Never ordered a dish I didn't like or that wasn't up to par.

Sadly, that's the only positive thing about this place. Their minimal hours, elbow-to-elbow seating, overcrowded atmosphere, and forced 'dine-in' experience on the weekends are just inaccessible for certain people and completely unacceptable for anyone disabled or incapable of eating within the confines of such limited space comfortably. This alone will put a bad taste in anyone's mouth large enough to rethink their options, despite how good the food might be here.

I completely understand that my review will have no effect on how the owners choose to run their establishment, nor will it change how willing they are to provide a comfortable environment for those that want to support local business owners but can't because of all the things I just mentioned.

With that being said, I would just like someone to explain to me why to go orders or carry out keep the business from making money or hinder ur employees from catering to an already overcrowded dine-in environment. It just makes no logical sense...literally none, especially with the amount of business u lose as a result. There is no difference between putting food on a plate and putting food in a box for someone to pick up and take home. The only difference is, the business's ability to adjust to the growing needs of the public which they serve so that everyone can have an enjoyable experience and small businesses don't continue to be pushed out of the city....make sense? Clearly it doesn't and that's enough to take my business where it does. If your not apart of the solution, ur apart of the...
