New location for established restaurant. Vibe is sheeky modern steakhouse. Main dining room was full and we were seated in the side room. Very cool wine bottle wall. Room is a bit cafeteria feel vs the main room.....and after passing the choke point the ambiance went from 5 to.....3.5 in a heartbeat. Clearly the room is more large group intended. Could use some dividers or style improvements. Views from the windows can be nice if you're seated there. Chairs are comfy but extremely heavy to move. Tables seem to wobble some as we watched a couple stuff a menu (!) under the leg. *Establishment should do better.
Service was prompt and polite. The menu has a bit of something for everyone. We wanted an app but noted the listings are heavy on shellfish and more "extreme" tartare which isn't for everyone or those seafood allergies. We settled on the Bacon which was very good 👍👍
Meals consisted of spiced Ribeye, Grouper, and two sides; Brussel sprouts and Kung Pow Cauliflower for the third party.
Steak was awesome. Cooked M rather than the requested MR but the quantity made up for that. Side of fries was worthy. Served with a grilled Vidalia onion the presentation is a little lacking.
The Grouper was well portioned also and flavors played well. Squash went well with the fish and the sauce was not overpowering.
The 2X sides guest enjoyed both veggies. The cauliflower was preferred. With a side of fries there was simply too much food!
All the Steak meals are ala carte. No salads. No bread. No sauces and no sides included. Each is ordered to taste. As told; the sides are too large a serving for one. Smaller dish and less volume would be very acceptable.
Waters did not run dry and drinks were priced accordingly with the restaurant. *We did not delve into the very extensive wine list- this trip. Looks fabulous however.
Three guests, 3 meals, 6 drinks....a bit over $300 before tip. In the new age that's current pricing and a fair value for...
Read moreWe visited the new north location last night and had the most incredible dining experience from start to finish! Our server, Roland, went above and beyond — I asked about gluten-free options, and he took the time to walk through the entire menu, explaining what was safe for me and why. That kind of care and attention is so rare and so appreciated.
It also happened to be my birthday weekend, and the team completely surprised me with a flourless chocolate cake topped with a sparker and a hand-signed card from the staff — such a personal and thoughtful touch! One of the cooks, Caden, even came out to say hello when he heard we were dressed in our Roaring 20’s costumes for Halloween (he was in an amazing steampunk outfit himself!).
The food was beyond delicious — every single person at our table ordered something different, and we all ended up sharing because everything was so good we couldn’t pick a favorite. The service was perfectly attentive, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and you could feel that everyone on the team genuinely cared about making it a special night.
We’re thrilled this new north location has opened — it absolutely deserves to thrive. We’ll definitely be back soon. Bravo to the entire team for such a memorable and...
Read moreI’d like to give it 4.5 stars, if I could. We dropped in for a birthday dinner last night as we were excited to check out the new steakhouse on the north side. We have a tried and true favorite in University Village and were eager to compare. The atmosphere is energetic to the point of being a bit too loud, due to the acoustics. Our waiter, Louie, was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails and a glass of wine—they were good but not standouts. There are a couple others on the menu we’ll be back to try. For the food, we loved the beet salad and my filet mignon was cooked appropriately, medium rare. My husband, on the other hand, had the venison which was overcooked and not terribly flavorful. We tried the carrots as well, which were fine, but not remarkable. The dark chocolate birthday torte was great. For being a brand new restaurant, I think they did a very nice job. For our special celebrations and favorite happy hour, we will continue to stick with our favorite steak place, which has more polished service, a wider array of fine cocktail and wines, and a calmer atmosphere. But, Prime 25 is a nice addition to the north side of town and I’d certainly recommend people to...
