UPDATE: I received a call (don't know if it was an employee or owner) and they were very nice and understanding. They set me up with Thomas and offered a 20% discount. Because my previous experience had been so good, and things do happen, I accepted the offer. Thomas did an amazing job and the fact that the person calling me didn't make any excuses, apologized and understood, then proceeded to help me with finding a new stylist, I'm back to a 5 star rating with Salon Kreed :)
I truly appreciate the I received services at Salon Kreed with Emily. I was so happy with the results I booked my next appointment for 4 months out. My appointment was scheduled for 5pm on 7/26. I went last night and the salon was closed. I double checked my confirmation email thinking I had gotten the time wrong. I was not wrong - my appointment was for 5 pm on that day. So, things happen and I wasn't upset. Bummed, yes, but not mad. I left a voice-mail explaining the situation and that I would like to reschedule. I never received a response to my voice-mail. When calling back I learned that some stylists were no longer there and that I should have received a cancelation, which I did not. My issue isn't with the stylist leaving or even with the technology perhaps not firing an email. I'm in tech, things happen. I get it. I have no doubt that the stylists are great. This review isn't about the stylists, it's about management. It's not good practice to not have a manual back up process in place when you have a stylist leave in order to ensure you accommodate clients future needs and retain customers, but what's really unacceptable is that my voice-mail was completely ignored. No one calling upon opening to apologize and help to suggest another stylist. When I did call, I didn't get much help there and so, now I'm left trying to find another salon. It's a drag because I left an amazing stylist when I moved from Denver that I've been with for 15 years and finding someone isnt easy. I'm loyal and had Salon Kreed just put in a little bit of an effort, they would have had a very loyal customer for a very long time that wants give 5...

I took my daughters to see Allysia again and we are just as pleased as the first time we went. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and my older one is already planning her next cut/color. I think we found a keeper! I wanted to take my daughter to get a new hair cut and color as a back-to-school present. We have a family hair stylist that we have been going to for years and I wanted to take her somewhere different since it was a special treat. With so many local salons, choosing one was pretty much a shot in the dark. I saw that Salon Kreed had really positive reviews and it appeared modern and progressive which my "alt" daughter appreciates. We don't know much about hair styling/coloring processes so we went in for a consult first. When we first arrived there was really good energy and an inviting atmosphere. All the stylists and colorists were very engaged with their clients and just seemed to be enjoying their time. There was also a diverse clientele and we didn't feel out of place or like we didn't belong. We met with Allysia for the consult and she explained what was needed to achieve what my daughter wanted and we scheduled for a couple of days later. My younger daughter hasn't reached a "coloring" stage yet, but I wanted to get her a cut. Allysia had availability so I booked a cut for her too during the same time block. My younger daughter got a trim just below the shoulders with some curtain bangs and it turned out super cute. My older daughter had been experimenting with some home coloring kits over the past year and it had become a bit "crusty", to say the least (pictured). It took some time in the chair since her hair needed some extra love, but we could not be happier with the results and my daughter is ecstatic. In short, we had a great experience and the staff is friendly and vibing. I know that everyone has different experiences with any type of business, but based on our first-time visit, I would recommend Salon Kreed to anyone looking for a first-time salon, a new salon, or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEveryone at the salon seemed very kind and welcoming, and my stylist was polite throughout ā this review is just based on my personal experience.
I came in asking for a 90s-inspired bixie/short shag, but ended up with a pretty blunt (and a bit uneven) bob ā the complete opposite of what I wanted. I tried to tell my stylist what I wanted throughout the cut, but it seemed as though we just werenāt on the same page at all. He kept making interesting comments and saying things like āWell, Iāve never done that before,ā while he was cutting my hair which made me feel like he didnāt know what he was doing. I left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable with the cut. Unfortunately, I had to book an appointment elsewhere to get it corrected, further increasing the cost of the cut.
A few days later, the stylist did reach out to check in, which I appreciated, but after I shared my honest (and polite) feedback, I never received a response. Overall, just a really frustrating experience, despite the friendly atmosphere. I trusted this salon based on the reviews, and the fact that they consider themselves an āalternative salonā but they did not deliver. My inspo pic and what I actually received are attached. Would greatly appreciate at least a partial refund because I spent around $100 for a haircut that made me scared to...
