First time. It was good.
Oreo milkshake was really good, lemonade was good, it tasted homemade. Chicken was crispy and moist. Fries were not fresh (bc of lack of communication on the restaurants part) Pecan pie cheese cake jar was good. Waffles were okay, nothing to write home about. Lots of sauces to choose from. The Slim sauce was interesting (I prefer Cane's over it) The gravy was decent but needs more flavor imo, (like DQ). Overall not bad, but not great. The one thing I'd go back for was the milkshake.
Also, we had to go back in for the milkshake bc they didn't put it with the order...., and after we got home I realized they didn't give us the cookies we ordered either. Disappointing.
I was a little frustrated that we ordered curbside pickup on the app and 10 mins past the 15min 'ready' time my SO finally went inside to check on our order because after waiting 25mins in the parking lot it still hadn't been brought out to us. He was told they are low on staff so they weren't carrying out the orders to the curbside spots. I realize this is a common problem we are having with restaurants post-covid, low staffing. Buuuut, We wouldn't have had an issue waiting in the car till our scheduled time then heading inside to pick it up fresh, but they did not tell us. Not great customer service or for the food freshness. Needless to say, the fries were not fresh tasting because they had been sitting there waiting to be picked up. They should have curbside disabled on the app or have a note to go inside to pickup. I'd feel sorry for other people who sit in their car for who knows how long waiting patiently on their food, only for it to be sitting on the counter getting cold like we did.
Personally I like Canes better. The only thing Slim Chickens has over Canes is more variety of food options and...
Read moreIf I could, I would give this location a 0 star review. I had came during dinner last night and put in a online order. It said my order was suppose to be done by 7:30 PM. So I waited and waited for my food. No one help me. So I stop one of the staff and ask them. They said it should be out soon. By now everyone that came after me got their food. Its already been 30 minutes. I ask whats going on. The staff ignore me. Horrible service. Then someone finally told a manager to come over after I demand a refund. He rudely responded to me that "well usually when you put in a online order it could be 15 minutes pass the time we give you". Which makes no sense, he then made a unprofessional comment "we are one of the busiest business around that just open. We are in demand." He didn't say sorry or anything. He said well nothing I can do about. If your food is ready, then it will come out. We are back up. Go check the rack and then left. Talk about unprofessional. In n Out next door was 3x busier than them, yet they had no issue what so ever. Even when I go there at least they are professional about their order. The "time" is actually right and you won't have someone so snobby talk to you. Yet somehow this new slim chicken open and their so busy that they can't handle it. A normal rush like mcdonald dinner time, but they are struggling. Their workers have time to laugh and joke around with each other though... oh and ignore you when you are standing there waiting for someone to respond to you. Oh let me mention the fact that the 2 order of ranch chip was so salty that me and my famiIy couldn't eat it. Makes me question if they did it on purpose. The chicken was soft and so was the toast. I rather take my business to...
Read moreMy husband and I went inside to order to go. We ordered 4 meals and a sandwich. After waiting for our food for 20 minutes we asked about our order. When the girl came back she told us that the manager claimed that our order was taking longer because of all the bulk orders they were receiving because it was Father's Day. We refuted this claim, because while we waited multiple orders went out to people who had ordered after we did. We received our order immediately afterwards, but received no other explanation as to how our order was skipped, and after 25 minutes of waiting was only offered a single free desert for an order made for 5 people. The manager was apparently too busy to address the problem himself. When we got home we found that my husband's order was wrong. He ordered a grilled chicken wrap, but received 4 small pieces of grilled chicken without the wrap, the vegetables, the cheese, or the sauce. How do you fill an order for a wrap and forget the wrap? We have been going to this location since it opened because it is much better than the other location in town, which takes 20+ minutes to fill your order when they are NOT busy, and honestly, the quality of the food is better. But after this experience... I also don't expect a response to this review as I have observed that the only reviews the company ever responds to here are the good reviews. Something else to consider when thinking about visiting one of their restaurants in the future, whether or not they really care enough to try and improve their service to the community, or if they just want...
