I REALLY wanted this to be a good review. I'm really just disappointed. I love Wingstop and live about 3 blocks from here. My thought was that this will be great. I order delivery from the one off of N Academy usually, and I figured I can save delivery fee and tip if I just do a carryout here, plus it would have to be fresher than waiting for someone to pick it up and bring it to me.
I was incorrect in my assumption. I placed an order and it said it would be ready within 25 minutes. I went ahead and gave it until it said my order should be ready and it was completed. When I walked in I said my name and that I had a carry out order and was told it would be about 10 more minutes. For me this is no problem. I waited the 10 minutes and went back in and the order was ready.
Upon getting home, I drove 3 streets over, I realized they forgot the extra ranch I paid for, and even though that isn't a huge deal either, I immediately noticed the fries were pretty cold and the wings weren't much better. It is as though they told me it would be 10 minutes and my food had actually been done and sitting, getting cold.
On top of that, when I order from the other one the boneless wings are usually a decent size, and if there are any smaller ones, they compensate by giving extra. The picture I posted was the average size of the wings we got. Just a little bigger than my thumb.
The reason for 2 stars is because they were kind to a homeless man that was in the restaurant and did not treat him poorly. The workers were definitely the highlight. I'm not writing the place off completely and will consider a higher review if they get it together or make it right, but honestly I am not feeling great about it and may just keep ordering from the other location because the food shows up fresher from there by delivery.
I hope this wasn't the universal experience or it is off to...
Read more(Filmore location) We were very excited when this place opened up since the nearest one was not very close by. It's been open long enough to work out the kinks so I'm not sure where the disconnect is. The final straw for us is when we were not given our entire order of wings. We placed on order of 50 wings and were not given 10 wings. We called to bring it to their attention and hopefully find a way to rectify the miscalculation and might as well have been called liars as the manager stated their chef said they put the correct amount of wings in. We were told we would receive a partial refund for the 10 wings and that never happened. My advice: count your wings, they're expensive enough as it is. Their food is also inconsistent in quality. You either get them over cooked and under sauced or under cooked and over sauced. ETA: 7mths ago a post was made about a similar experience so maybe the chef needs to re-learn how to count by 5s so this doesn't...
Read moreFun fact...I will never darken the doorstep of the N Academy store. This store is a little better, but they do not know the difference between carrots and celery. I asked for carrots for my dogs, who are now disappointed because they got celery and do not eat that. Also, the staff can't count I was to get 30 wings and got like two or three extra in one flavor and was short on the other by one or two. It always amazes me that these people feel that they should be paid more when they can't do what kindergarteners knows how to do. The food was cold, but that is the delivery driver's deal. I wish stores would hire their own drivers because then I could get my dog's carrots. It is not even worth calling them because they will just put my name on a list somewhere and a year from, when I feel like trying to see if they can actually do their, they will have no idea what I am talking about. Done with them for life. Now to try a new wing store that is...
