I came in with that traditional old, ugly tons of layers haircut; Andrea was super amazing and professional. She took her time to really understand what I wanted and really blended everything. I was given one on one training how to better fix my hair with products and it was very helpful. I'm the pickiest person and I give her 5 stars for everything: haircut, professionalism, knowledge! I've scheduled a color appointment already. Andrea is the lady to see for an amazing style.
Adding to my review: I ended up going with a different stylist after Andrea as she was very booked, no complaints on that. Itâs taken me a while to be able to come back and write this review as it was such a nasty experience. I saw a stylist, Holly for quite some time and my hair was always wonderful. I had gone pretty blonde with baylage and decided to go back fully brown, I didnât love it and went back in a couple of months later to begin to lighten. During my initial conversation I could tell Holly was annoyed I wanted to lighten again. She began telling me we would need many appointments to achieve what I had originally. I told her well my hair lightened pretty fast and we achieved that look in 2-3 sessions and I wasnât worried. She continued to almost scream at me and was super condescending, with an overall just nasty tone. It was absolutely mortifying. The other customer that was in the chair next to me kept looking at us and Holly continued to look at her coworker and almost bring her into the situation, like I was so stupid and she needed that co-sign; like can you believe this stupid customer. I was talked down to and it was totally mortifying. I recall telling Holly it wasnât that serious and letâs just get started and see how things went. She took a super long time mixing my color and I could hear her talking to her co-worker in the back. While I couldnât hear words, I could hear tone and it was absolutely unprofessional. I knew she was back there talking about me and she came out almost smug afterwords. I honesty should have just left then but as we know finding anyone good to your hair is seemingly impossible in this town. My hair was fine afterwards, no complaints but I immediately called my mother to let her know what had happened and how I felt. She told me I should absolutely never go there again but I felt so conflicted. It took me forever to find a good colorist and stylist and on the other hand what happened was totally inappropriate. I waited a few weeks before deciding to give her another try, maybe she was having a bad day. After I scheduled I was called back the next day to be told I was not allowed to schedule with her again and would need to go somewhere else, since the only other stylist that would suit my needs no longer took new clients. I was totally shocked that a professional could act like that to her client and then turn it around on me. Here I was trying to be decent and give her the benefit of the doubt. No one ever called me back even though I did request a manger to call. I donât want anything from this as Iâve moved on but I feel itâs important to let others know your experience with a business, whether good or bad. This situation was handled very poorly and Holly was absolutely unprofessional and rude to me. I hope that no one ever has to go through such an embarrassing and emotional situation like I did here with this business and that perhaps sheâs able to grow from this, if she ever sees...
Read moreI went to this hair salon to get a haircut a month ago and it was a horrible experience with Julia. I only give it two stars because the receptionist was super nice and the salon was clean. I booked an appointment online with her at 2, they called me one hour before to reschedule for 2:30. No problem, I said it was fine. I got there at 2:30 and I had to wait 30 more minutes for her, but that wasnât the worst thing. I asked for a hair cut with LAYERS, I had very long hair and I wanted to cut it right under my shoulders, so the hairstylist had enough for layers. After one hour and 15 minutes she shows me for the first time how it was looking⌠there were no layers, literally NO layers. I told her I didnât like it and she showed me the âlayersâ, so she âfixed itâ and gave me one layer (I ended up with a straight haircut). I told her that wasnât what I was looking for, she freaked out, she was SO nervous because she had another person waiting for her and was claiming that to me. Sorry, but this issue WASNâT my fault, I had my appointment an hour later from what was scheduled, she showed me the haircut for the first time an hour after she started. To end with this horrible experience, she told me âThatâs all I can do for you, Iâll take you to checkout.â, I had to go and talk to the receptionist, this girl didnât even say âByeâ, she was being rude. While she was cutting my hair I also asked her what type of appointment I had to do for color, she told me that we were going to talk about it later because people usually do not book the right appointment for the service they want. Did she do that? NO, because she wanted me to leave. Itâs sad that this girl is making the salon loose a customer, because I was going to book an appointment if they gave me the time and how to best make a booking. I left the salon and had to style my own hair after her only drying it. I have curly hair, she claimed to be a curly hair specialist. I did not leave looking how I wanted or like I had been to a curly...
Read moreI've been here a couple of times now and booked with a couple of stylists. My latest booking was with Kelsey, and really, all I can say is they are a beautiful soul.
BLUF: Need a great haircut, to be pampered, not judged, a color correction (even a small one), and good vibes? Book Kelsey.
I usually take pride in my hair, but I'm a few months postpartum (hang in there, it's relevant) and struggling. My hair is falling out in droves, the ends are dried and dead, my old shampoo isn't cutting it with the change in hormones (I'm guessing), so it's just tangling everything. Oh and I got so tired of these coarse baby hairs that were 4 inches long and always sticking out when I'd shove my hair up, so I decided to blindly (wasn't looking at the spots) shave them off with the husbands beard trimmer. It happens, amiright? đ
They took care of my hair better than I have in months. Didn't comment on my poor shaving job at the back of my neck, just reassured me that the little bit of "normal hair" I took out in my escapade would grow back. Kelsey did a treatment on my hair that almost feels like a reset button. My scalp feels healthier than it has since month 9.
Now the cut! Kelsey took her time. When they said precision haircuts are a specialty, it wasn't a lie. I've never had such a well-done haircut with everything lining up no matter how I decide to wear it. Kelsey would manipulate my hair into different potential hairstyles to make sure there were no randomly long pieces missed and that it laid right.
Kelsey also flexed those color correction skills and helped me by neutralizing some older highlights that were brassy. Which also helped cover/correct a portion of those highlights that were a bit reddish from when I got my hair colored back to it's natural color before having little one.
Long story long. This is my spot with the natural (as it can be) products, serene and relaxing atmosphere, and exemplary stylists. Give...
