I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience at Berges Jewlery Design. Vanessa and Mark (and mom, I apologize that I am drawing a blank on her name) were so wonderful to work with! My fiancé and I are a little…less traditional, shall we say, and opted to design my engagement ring together, rather than just picking one out. We came in with what felt like a million ideas about little details and concepts, without really knowing how it would all come together. Vanessa diligently wrote down all of our crazy thoughts, presented it to Mark and came back with a rough sketch of what we described. The best part of using them for such a meaningful ring was that they do everything in house. We didn’t have to worry about the ring being sent out to 20 different places for each stage and the inevitable finger pointing that goes along with it. Throughout the process, we were invited to come see the progress made and discuss any changes that we wanted (which were literally none because they hit it out of the ballpark). Not only were our ideas put to life, but we were able to add little details we didn’t even know we could do due to their years of experience making custom rings. The finished product was just placed on my finger last week and it is absolutely breathtaking. I’m here to change my review to 5 stars. Vanessa saved my business - after fixing my ring, we collaborated on a gorgeous piece for my mom for Mother’s Day. They were communicative, in time and turned out a wonderfully sentimental piece. Very happy with this small business! EDIT : Vanessa contacted me and worked out a schedule on delivering my wedding ring, fixing and shipping back to me. They did a great job fixing the post on one of the stands. She mentioned they implemented a different technique that is stronger than how they completed it last time. Now I’m in the process of designing a custom pendant for Mother’s Day!

Terrible customer service - my husband chose a small family owned business to create a beautiful custom ring 3 years ago. 3 months after proposal, a post fell off and they had to recreate it. 2.5 years later the same thing happens and attempting to get it replaced, I cannot even meet with them. We no longer live in the springs and attempted to book an appointment (Friday at 3:30pm or 4pm, Tuesday around 9am etc) and they would not accommodate. We live 11 hours away and offered to pay a fee to book an appointment and tried several different days and times and they would not help. Absolutely wonderful and meaningful service from Berges Jewelers. My father passed away rather quickly and I found a gold pendant he bought for me when I was 8 years old that I wanted to wear in his honor at his funeral the following day.

None of my chains fit the pendant and I was very short on time. In between visits from family and neighbors, I visited Berges to see if they could perform a repair to allow me to wear it the very next day. I figured it was a long shot, but decided to try anyway. The head jeweler (never got his name!) dropped everything to make the repair and shine up the pendant, which allowed me to honor my father as we laid him to rest. I asked what I owed them, and they refused any payment.

It truly brought me to tears and meant so much to me.

This is an outstanding and reputable business that I certainly plan to frequent when I’m in need of a special piece of jewelry in the future. I am eternally grateful for their respect, time, and understanding.
