Sprouts Farmers Market — Local services in Colorado Springs

South Nevada sprouts is horrible. They don’t quality check their produce. They leave the fruits at the front door on display the entire day without checking the product. The produce department is managed by a lazy supervisor. Who is support3; my his mangers. Juniper and Chet for leaving bad produce on the floor for customers to buy. Not to mention the food stall by the front of the store that states it’s made daily. Those ready meals sit there a week at a time. Only on the last day of the week that put a reduced price on them. This store only cares about your money. They don’t live up to the value posted on third signs Three photos I took while serving as a guard. Strawberries i found during a morning shift already with mold forming. Note this stayed in the spot for customers to buy. Because produce didn’t check nor the day shift managers wanted me pulling them. The picture of the orange displays a spider that established residence on top of them. Note the oranges was in place over a week. Which allowed the spider to set up with no interference. This a small bit of problems i found at this store. I nearly gagged daily at the state of the produce.

What I learned:

Got made at me for trying to pull bad produce as a guard David is a lazy manager who accepted a the ideals of the 2 top managers. So he could continue be lazy

Kathy is awesome. She try’s and always works to clear bad produce. One day she pulled over 100 lbs of bad produce and posted a comment to the managers. I was told Chet deleted the comment in order to cover it up.

So, I want to start this out by saying I usually love shopping at this sprouts. The staff is usually super friendly and kind. I’m in there a couple times a week with my girlfriend or when I shop for DoorDash orders. This morning was such a weird experience. We had barely been in the store for a couple minutes and the whole staff was watching us, particularly me. She was shopping for salsa ingredients and I was looking at what items they might have on clearance and sale.

We were only 2 of 6 people and the only ones the security and staff followed. I did my best to ignore it and chuck up to the store being empty, but when we left my girlfriend asked me why they were following and staring at us and particularly at me when I left to look at the sale items. She felt super uncomfortable and this is the only reason I’m leaving a review. I understand security and theft prevention. I’ve worked as a cop, security, at grocery stores, and retail. A routine walk through by security or staff checking in to see if you need help, normal. Constantly watching someone for 30min not so much.

As I mentioned at the beginning the staff is usually amazing. We love sprouts as a grocery stores. High quality products, some of the best produce, and greats sales even if you don’t have the app for coupons. Their weekly and monthly ads keep groceries affordable.
